Sadly this hostel has taken a hit from its fame. Only visited earlier this year and it was amazing.
Now they seem to be struggling at max capacity. Lackluster free breakfast with over priced coffee. Only having one lady working it so when 20 guests come and order coffee it's a much longer wait after you've finished.
Don't understand the shoes off policy when entering by what I means is the floor gets filthy and not cleaned enough.
Our Aircon unit broke 3/4 days and having heavy tools running each day didn't help. 6hrs no Aircon one day is a nightmare
They over booked the family dinner and ran out of space. Also it's a bit over priced for some rice paper rolls.
Have a fully stocked bar upstairs but no one seems to open it.
No fans in toilet so they turn into a sauna.
Sorry Nona but quantity over quality is starting to show and some changes needed to be made to justify the price.
Staff are extremely friendly and willing to go above and beyond but damn it's small and when it's full it is FULL.
Hope some changes are made to bring it back to the good old days.
No hate on the place just profits seem to be becoming ahead of what makes the hostel once great

This youth hostel is very, very bad. I hope all tourists will not choose this hotel. I flew to Ho Chi Minh at night and took a taxi from the airport to this hotel. When I got to the front desk, I was told that I could not check in because of renovations. It was really bad. It’s funny, why do you keep the property open if you can’t check in? Why don’t you notify guests earlier if you can’t check in? Then when I saw other guests in the lobby who didn't have a reservation, the front desk also checked him in. My English is good and I can hear clearly, so this is a typical example of differential treatment. Really, I definitely don't go to this hotel. I spent most of the night looking for accommodation on the streets of Ho Chi Minh City. Although Ctrip compensated the price difference of other hotels in the end, giving Ctrip customer service a good review does not mean that you can forgive this hotel's behavior. If you don't have integrity, don't open the door for business!

非常にいいドミトリーです。まずドミトリーは最大8人利用でトイレとシャワーは1つずつですが、しっかりと別れているので使いやすく、お湯もしっかり出ますが、シャワーの水圧がやや弱かったです。アメニティは自分が持ってきたのを使ったので分かりません。屋上があり、風が心地良いです。自分は行ってはないのですが、他のドミトリーの外国人はみんな一緒にご飯を食べに行っていました。エアコンはしっかり効いています。鍵付きの収納ケースもありました。

I’ve been in Ho Chi Minh for 5 days and I stayed for all the time here. The staff and people were very friendly. The hostel is very clean and also, you can book excursions. I recommend everyone this place, it's the best one I have ever been

Staff are extremely kind, friendly and welcoming. They also have excellent recommendations on where to eat and places to go. The place is ideally located within walking distance to most attractions such as the post office. It is very easy to feel safe and comfortable here. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. You will feel completely comfortable here due to the good nature of the staff. The rooftop also has a very nice chill vibe with a good seating area. Would 100% recommend 10/10.

Everything was just great, from the staff to the location! Rooms & beds are clean and comfortable. Staff is so lovely & helpful - you can even book tours via them (recommended) and they will make everything to make your stay the best. Location is great, there’s a rooftop bar which is used to socialize and there’s a free beer every day between 7-8pm. Also you can visit and walk the city from the hostel, restaurant / bars etc all just around the corner. Would definitely come back!
