Woke up to the morning sunrise in my room . Time for Breakfast and hot tea. Met Executive Chef Chowang at Hotel D polo, who wanted to know what our Dinner plans were. We 6 friends from Mumbai were keen for Himachali cuisine and Chef smiled and agreed . He introduced us to the famous Himachal traditional Dham. Basically Dham is served on special occasions like marriage functions. Dham is rice based meal served with traditional Madra - a yogurt based chickpea curry. Thukpa - famous soup, then Chefs recommended lauki Momos - which was super with the spicy chutney. Paneer and cheese patty was too good. Then for main course we had khatta meat, Also chana madra. Kangra Rajma with lots of ghee was absolutely dekh and finally finished the meal with meetha chawal.
