Very nice hotel that appears to be run by a family. Nice location near the city center. Large courtyard off the reception and platz in front of the entrance. There was plenty of parking nearby. Both people I dealt with while staying here were extremely helpful in any needs I had. The breakfast was smaller, but very fresh and definitely sufficient to many people’s needs. My wife is vegatarian and had no problem finding enough to eat in a quantity and variety that made her happy. The rooms were decorated in a more modern motif and of a very descent size, to include the bathroom. I would suggest this hotel to friends. It’s only real downside was it didn’t have a elevator. But the stairs were nice and wide and our room was on the first floor, second floor for Americans. It wasn’t bad at all. I am sure if you needed help with your bags. They would help.

The husband/wife management team were quite friendly and the service was excellent. And while we enjoyed this boutique hotel we found the price quite high for the amenities offered. We paid around $175 US a night, including taxes and fees. The room was fine but a fan in the room would have gone a long way to making us comfortable in the unexpected heatwave. The breakfast was fine. Great location that allowed us to easily explore Hof. We’d go back and stay at this hotel again if the price were lower. $175 a night is simply too much.

Lovely little hotel! The staff were super friendly and helpful, even recommended a great little restaurant for dinner. Room was really clean, big comfy bed. In a great location, short walk to the old town. Would definitely stay here again!

Auf der Durchreise in den Norden haben wir in diesem Hotel einen Zwischenstopp eingelegt. Ein kleines aberfeines Hotel mitten in der Stadt in einem renovierten Altbau mit eigener Garage im Innenhof. Gut ausgestattetes Zimmer, gutes Frühstück und vor allem einem sehr kundenorientierten Hotelbesitzer. Für alle Fragen zu Spazierrunden,, Geschäfte oder empfehlenswerten Restaurants gibts passende Tipps, da fühlt man sich wirklich als Gast.

Die Lage des Hotels, am Rande des Stadtzentrums, ist super. Sehr freundliche, zuvorkommende Mitarbeiter. Ein kleines aber sehr leckeres Frühstück. Super frische Brötchen. Wenn ich mal privat nach Hof komme, dann wäre dieses Hotel meine erste Wahl.

Das Konzept des Hotels Maxplatz mag auf den ersten Blick erstaunen, es geht aber sehr gut auf. Ich hatte ein Einzelzimmer. Das Zimmer war renoviert, das Bad war in den 1990ern stehegeblieben. Was erstmal schwierig klingt geht hier gut auf, da mein Bad sauber und schimmelfrei war. Das ganze Haus ist aufgefrischt worden, in den Fluren mit Farbe und Bildern, in den Gastzimmern Mobiliar und Böden. Der Frühstücks- und Empfangsbereich war ebenfalls komplett renoviert und sehr hell und freundlich eingerichtet. Das Frühstücksbuffet war völlig angemessen, es ist ja ein kleines Haus, und die Qualität war sehr gut. Schön auch daß man sich hier den Namen des Gastes merkt! Auch wenn mein Arbeitgeber in Hof ein anderes Hotel bevorzugt komme ich gerne wieder, das Maxplatz ist in Preis-/Leistung unschlagbar.

Ich bin noch heute begeistert von den vielen liebevollen Details, die dem Hotel seine ganz eigene, charmante Note geben. Das Hotel ist zentral und doch ruhig gelegen, kostenlose Parkplätze sind vorhanden, der Empfang war eben so herzlich wie die Bedienung beim sehr guten Frühstück. Die Zimmer sind sehr ansprechend eingerichtet, sehr sauber und die Betten garantieren einen wirklich guten Schlaf. Einen Balkon hatte unser Zimmer nicht, was der schöne Sitzbereich im Hof, wo man auch frühstücken kann, aber locker wett macht. Ein Dankeschön dem gesamten Maxplatz-Team! Wir kommen garantiert wieder:)
