Jinyi Youxuan Hotel (Hohhot Xinhua West Street Affiliated Hospital Subway Station Branch)

As someone who frequently travels to Hohhot for business, the facilities and environment at the Jin Yi You Xuan Xinhua West Street store are the most thoughtfully designed among hotels I've stayed at in the same price range! The hotel's overall decor is simple yet elegant. The hallways are carpeted thickly, so there's no noise when walking. Complimentary mineral water and snacks in the rooms are unlimited, and the USB charging port and nightlight by the bed are very thoughtfully designed. The water pressure in the bathroom is excellent, making showers very comfortable. Additionally, the hotel offers family-themed rooms with a full range of playful amenities and children's supplies, so you don't have to worry at all when traveling with kids. The business and lounge areas in the common spaces are also perfect, whether you're working or relaxing with children.

The front desk service, room amenities, and breakfast were decent, but not as amazing as online reviews suggested. The hotel wasn't renovated in recent years, but it's well-maintained and better suited for those who value the hotel's amenities. Because there's an elementary school downstairs, I wouldn't recommend it for those who wake up late, especially outside of holidays. Jiajiayue and Niujie are a 7-8 minute walk away. For places like Kuanzhai Alley and Dazhao Temple, I recommend taking a taxi; the hotel is conveniently located in a small alley, making it easy to hail a taxi and turn around. The reason I have to give it a bad review is that the room directly opposite the elevator had a large, enclosed space that could fit several people. I checked in in the afternoon, left all my belongings at the hotel, and only discovered the door when I returned from dinner. It was truly unsettling. A room with such a potential safety hazard should not be sold to any hotel guest, or at least the hotel should have asked if the guest minded and reminded them to check the room immediately upon entering.

The room facilities were old; the bathroom was small and didn't even have a clothes rack; the drainage was slow; and this was the first time I'd ever encountered a broken bathroom mirror in all my hotel stays. The pillowcases were yellowed.

We stayed for quite a while, and because we had a family with us and didn't want to carry our suitcases around, we asked the front desk to have a cleaning lady come every day. But the cleaning lady was so perfunctory! Didn't she even check the pillowcases when she folded the blankets? The outermost layer was so dirty and she didn't even change it. The price for the next few days of our stay kept increasing. I called the front desk late at night to ask them to change the pillowcases, but after hanging up, I never heard from them again…
