We had an exceptional stay at the Sandpiper. This was not our first time in Barbados, but our first time at the Sandpiper and we were not disappointed. What drew us to the Sandpiper was that it's a family-run hotel and we appreciated the personal touch and charm that you get from it. Every part of our experience was top-notch - from the staff to the food to the property. An example is being greeted at arrival by manager Ken for a property tour and to get us settled with a drink. A member of the staff was always available to help but they did not hover. Everyone was helpful and all of the guests were happy and relaxed as a result. The Sandpiper is a truly special place and we can't wait to return.

Ken and team ensured our experience was faultless. We travelled with another family and felt at home as soon as we arrived. The Colleagues deliver a genuine and friendly service experience. Daily breakfast is a treat and lunch at Harolds by the beach, drinking a lovely Rose along with authentic Caribbean dishes is truly memorable. Thank you again for an enjoyable short break.

High quality hotel well located for all the restaurants on the West Coast of Barbados. Hotel restaurant is also good particularly on Wednesdays when they have a top notch Buffett. Pools nice and Harold’s Bar good for a sundowner or a lazy lunch. 1 Bed Suite was ideal.

The Sandpiper is a top class experience in every way. It isn't OTT but there are plenty of staff - all super friendly, polite and helpful - you never wait for anything, all know what they are doing and it all runs smoothly. These sound like simple things but so many hotels get it wrong. It is a beautiful hotel, too, on a spectacular beach, quality sun beds and beach attendants. The food is excellent in the restaurant and at Harold's Bar..which leads me onto Harold's Bar. Harold is a legend and has been at the hotel for decades. Again it is well staffed, fast and makes fantastic drinks - I was particularly partial to the rum sours. You can spend a lot of time at Harold's! All in all, a very very highly recommended hotel if you are considering a visit to the island. I could go on but there is no point - just book. The rooms are beautifully appointed and cleaning services are exactly what you would expect of a hotel of this rating.

Beautiful boutique hotel in Holetown, Barbados. Very central location with all the great restaurants nearby. Stunning grounds, great beach area, only 51 rooms/suites so very personalised, excellent food, great selection of wines and spirits etc. Rooms whilst have everything you need/want are very tired and in need of renovation which we we were assured by Charlie the owners son, is going to commence later in the year. Staff very friendly in the main, 2 pools to choose from and a very relaxing caribbean vibe......perfect!

We arrived at the Sandpiper and the welcome from all staff was exceptional, we then had probably the best checkin we have had fast, efficiently carried out. We were then taken our Curlew suite which was unbelievably beautiful everything was of the highest standards. Food at the hotel was exceptional try the West Indian curry that was beautiful. The grounds of the property are pristine along with the golden beach. There were excellent water sport activities offered and various pools to relax at Without question we will be returning.

We have just returned from Barbados and our second stay in this wonderful hotel. I cannot rate our experience highly enough. It was a treat for my 60th Birthday and our children arrived as a surprise 3 days after our arrival arranged by my husband. The staff were incredible and without their help it would not have been such a great surprise. The ability to have dinner in Harold's Bar in the evening and the upgrade of the Gym were also great additions since our last stay. The location of the Sandpiper on the beautiful beach and the proximity to Holetown itself is also a huge bonus. All the staff are very friendly and attentive and are what made our stay very special. We are already planning to return.

Potentially a nice resort with good food but a very small beachfront in comparison to other hotels in the area. A notion of portion control pervades the hotel so that an initial selection of coffee capsules were not replenished and further items were at exorbitant price whilst also towels were replaced on an exchange basis (ie return the used for a fresh towel!!!). Presumably a cost control exercise but given the cost of a night stay is simply measly and does nothing but frustrate guests. I would add similar hotels in the same area were significantly more generous and welcoming. Unfortunately not an experience we enjoyed and will not be returning.

After seeing the recent declining reviews on the House, Sandy Lane where we have stayed on all our visits to Barbados ( A real shame) we thought we would try this highly trip advisor rated hotel. Well we were not disappointed, a beautiful hotel, clean, comfortable and a great location, fab staff particularly the Harold’s Bar and Beach Staff. Our welcome by Ken was warming and informative. The food was good and they have a sister hotel Coral Reef 5 minutes walk where if you wanted you can share that facility too, we had a fantastic lunch there. We shall definitely return to this beautiful boutique hotel.
