__WeChat34800****Yijian 6500 is hands down the best hotel in Changsha! Tucked away on Sujia Alley's ancient stone-paved streets, dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties, it's just steps from the bustling Wuyi Square and IFS. Yet, once you step inside, the tranquility of its Zen-inspired courtyard with black brick and grey tiles instantly creates a peaceful escape from the city's noise – truly a gem of quiet luxury.
The room's dark aesthetic perfectly matched my taste, and the goose down bedding was so comfortable I didn't want to get up. They've got all the premium amenities: Dyson hairdryer, smart toilet, LELABO toiletries, and even fresh Baisha Ancient Well water delivered daily for drinking. Enjoying tea with the kung fu tea set really brought out the charm of Changsha.
The 24-hour butler service was incredibly thoughtful, handling everything from luggage to ordering Tea'sa Tea for me and even planning my itinerary. Breakfast, afternoon tea, and late-night snacks were all delivered directly to my room; the abalone breakfast and custom sparkling water were a delightful treat.
What surprised me most was the complimentary travel photoshoot. The photographer guided me through poses, and I received 9 retouched photos plus all the original shots, making for some truly high-end pictures! It's also within walking distance of popular spots like Tianbao Brothers and Tea'sa Tea. After a long day of exploring, returning to the hotel to relax on the terrace, watching the old city's grey tiles reflect the modern high-rises, made the experience absolutely perfect. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Changsha!

XXuShaoZheThis was an excellent place to stay in Changsha, better than we could have expected.
We visited in December and the heating from the air conditioner was enough to keep the room warm. The bathroom is modern, and even has heating above the shower. Both the room itself and the bathroom were very clean. We were on the third floor so we did not get bothered by any sound from the street. I am a very light sleeper but I did not wake up from anything. There are a few open air lounges around the building, most with a roof to protect from the rain, which were nice to sit and eat breakfast. The best thing about the room however is the bed. It is spacious (I think a king size) and so, so comfortable. There is a laundry facility but we didn't use this on our trip. They don't have a dryer machine but they do have a clothes line to dry clothes on.
The owner spoke with us through WeChat and gave us recommendations on places to eat (a huge list, maybe 40 different places!) and checked if we needed room cleaning every day, and provided extra water bottles. The aunties at the hotel are all friendly.
The location is really good, 5-7 mins walk from Peyuanqiao subway, and just one stop from Wuyi Square on line 1. It is also about 40mins on the subway or 30mins taxi to ChangshaNan Station (high-speed rail) and about 45mins subway from the airport. The hotel is on a quiet side street, the main street is very much a local, non-touristy street, which was nice, with a friendly uncle selling breakfast in the morning and many stalls and restaurants nearby. By the station you also have bigger chain shops and restaurants if this is what you prefer.
The only thing to improve for me is that a coat hanger would be useful so we can hang up our coat somewhere.
I love Changsha, my favourite city in China, and I think this hotel will become my go-to the next time I am back to visit!

MM263189****Atmosphere: The moment I opened the door, I was enveloped by a rich tea aroma and ancient charm. Our room was exceptionally spacious, with a wooden tea table and four small tea cups by the floor-to-ceiling window, perfect for brewing tea. The decor and ambiance were excellent. Service: Even before check-in, the housekeeper proactively added me on WeChat and sent all the necessary details, including check-in information and parking instructions, which saved me the hassle of repeatedly asking questions. They not only thoughtfully provided complimentary breakfast for the next day and two tea vouchers, allowing us to enjoy tea in the tea room anytime, but also served heartwarming late-night snacks.

LLRNZ09This hotel is an absolute gem in Changsha! The beautiful retro deco-design creates a charming and nostalgic atmosphere, and the two adorable parrots at the entrance add a delightful touch.
The staff is incredibly kind and always available, making communication seamless by adding guests to a WeChat group for instant assistance. The amenities are outstanding: breakfast (with Western or Chinese options) and afternoon tea are delivered to your room, plus a free laundry service (wash and dry).
The spacious room has an ultra-comfy bed, and the hotel goes above and beyond with thoughtful freebies: mouthwash, dental floss, a stocked minibar (drinks and chips!), and a kettle with coffee and tea included. The Wi-Fi is fast and reliable and covers the entire hotel.
A unique highlight? The traditional photoshoot (with qipao and other vintage outfits) is a fun perk!
I’d definitely choose it again for its comfort, service, and charm! 🌟

MM253471****🔸The location is very good and it is very convenient to go anywhere. The B&B is very quiet in the alley on the corner of the street. It is close to the Wuyi Square subway station. Across the road is Taiping Old Street. The B&B is on the Xichang Street and Chaozong Street. We walked around very conveniently.
🔹The twin room on the first floor has a large floor-to-ceiling window and can be opened. The small sofa plus a round table with chairs is convenient for chatting and drinking tea. The bathroom, toilet and washbasin are separated, which is very good and does not interfere with each other. The room is large and the overall decoration is also elegant. There is Xiaodu voice control. In short, it is very comfortable to live in.
🔸The front desk lady and the cleaning lady are very enthusiastic. There are many supplies available at the front desk. The check-out lady Xiaoxuan is also very considerate and gave a small gift when leaving.

AAnonymous UserThis new hotel is conveniently located near the North Gate of Taiping Old Street, making it easy to get a taxi. The renovation is new, and there's no unpleasant smell, which is great, thanks to the fresh air ventilation system. The bedding is clean, high-thread-count cotton, and the bathroom gleams like new. Toiletries are neatly arranged, and there's even a Laifen hairdryer. Common areas are always kept fresh and clean.
The front desk staff are warm and helpful, always ready to answer questions. They even upgraded our room to one with a bathtub. You can also get bath liners and capsule coffee delivered to your room by a robot. There's a laundry service too; our clean clothes were left at our door early the next morning.
The surrounding area is convenient for dining, drinking, and entertainment. It's really excellent, a pleasant surprise for our trip to Changsha.

GGuest UserChildren want to take a bath, this has a private bubble pool, two big and two small are no problem. The hotel is very clean and the facilities are new. There are stoves, charcoal fires, fireplaces at the bar. It has a sense of design. You can also sing K songs. The children are very happy!

MMiniminningOMG, this hotel absolutely *nailed* it for me! 🤌 I honestly thought it would just be a standard hotel stay, but it unexpectedly became the most memorable part of my entire trip. The service staff were incredibly warm and attentive. Their smiles were like sunshine, and they went above and beyond, taking care of every little detail, which made me feel completely at home. If you're looking for a hotel that can truly make your trip more wonderful, then this is absolutely the perfect choice!

JJuvieJEntrance and lift to the right tower was a little hard to find initially, especially for us who don't understand much Chinese and lift change to a different tower is required. Written instruction would've been useful.
Room is ok, very low ceiling, nearly touched our head. Very cramped and not as spacious and nice as in photo.
Lots of marks and scratches on the floor. Shower area is not clean, hair from previous stay still there.
Our washing machine was broken. It couldn't be fixed in the 3 nights we stayed. The technician came on the second day and the floor was left dirty. We were offered to use the washing machine in a different unit, but with no dryer, it made it difficult.
The electricity went out on our first morning and there was no power for about 3-4 hours. Then the evacuation building evacuation notice came on, twice that morning. We evacuated as that's the norm in our country. We're later told it's just a testing. It would've been nice if we were informed or there's some kind of communication on the floor. Very disruptive as we have young children. The evacuation drill happened again the next morning. We knew then to stay.
The best thing about this apartment is the location. Close to all the hustle and bustle is Changsha, lots of eateries choices. On the negative side, we could hear thumping music and felt the vibration from nearby clubs until 3-4 in the morning.

The Wi-Fi signal was strong, the TV was high-definition, and the bath towels were individually packaged for hygiene. The front desk staff were efficient during check-in and provided detailed information about nearby attractions. The breakfast offered a mix of Western and Chinese options, updated daily, and was reasonably priced – truly great value for money.
