⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a great stay at Venetian Hostel in Tsim Sha Tsui! The location is honestly one of the best things about it — it’s right in the center of everything in TST. There are so many food places just outside the building, so finding something to eat was never a problem. The MTR is also very convenient, only about a 2-minute walk from TST Station Exit D2, which made commuting around Hong Kong super easy. If you’re coming from the airport by bus, you can simply stop at bus stop #14 (Mirador Mansion), which is very close to the hostel. Another thing we appreciated was the housekeeping. They collect the trash every day, so when we came back our bins were already clean. They also changed our bedsheets and towels even though we didn’t request it, which was a really nice touch. Just a small tip: they sometimes offer room upgrades when you arrive, but you can always say NO if you want to stick with your budget. We stayed on the 13th floor, and that floor has a free water refilling station (which the other floors don’t have), so that was a big plus for us. The only downside is that the elevator in the building can be very slow, especially during busy hours. But overall, the stay was comfortable, clean, and very convenient. Great option if you’re looking for a budget place in TST!

For this price point, being able to stay in the city center was truly unexpected. The room wasn't particularly large, but for a place like Hong Kong where space is at a premium, it was already quite good. The front desk staff knew I was traveling with my grandma and even upgraded me for free from a 1.2m bed to a 1.6m one. Disposable toiletries need to be purchased, but they're very affordable. The hot water in the room was plentiful. The only downsides were that the air conditioning was incredibly noisy and didn't cool very well. Overall, I'd still give it full marks because the price was really great, and it's a good option in many respects.

Major warning, seriously avoid! The promotional photos are completely misleading and nothing like reality. This isn't a hotel at all; it's a dirty, messy, and dilapidated dormitory-style building. The hygiene is appalling, with a pungent odor. The hallways are filled with cigarette smoke, noise, and clothes hung everywhere. The environment is both noisy and filthy. We booked with our child and found that there was no guarantee of safety or hygiene. We tried to negotiate on the day of check-in, but the owner was hostile and refused to issue a refund, and then ignored our WeChat messages. This expensive booking resulted in an extremely poor experience. Book with caution! We lost over 2,000 yuan for nothing, and we are very angry and disappointed.

NOT RECOMMENDED!!! We originally booked two separate rooms, but upon arrival, the receptionist informed us that they were no longer available in TST due to CNY. They offered rooms in Kowloon instead, which was very inconvenient for us. As an alternative, they suggested a Family Room, and we agreed. Unfortunately, our stay became very frustrating. There were no toiletries provided and NO WATER HEATER for 3 days. We informed them multiple times! We stayed for 5 nights, and dealing with these basic issues made the experience extremely disappointing.

The hygiene was absolutely terrible, there were no facilities whatsoever, and zero security. Definitely avoid this place! I regretted booking here and they wouldn't let me cancel. Just look at picture 1. On top of that, we were discriminated against by the people here. You wouldn't find a hotel like this anywhere on mainland China. It seems like all the hotels in this building, no matter their name, are run by the same people, and you have to go to the 13th floor (picture 4) to check in. It was incredibly dirty; we slept in our coats and didn't use their bedding. The whole room reeked of disinfectant, the walls were peeling, and the wardrobe and door were broken. The entire building was full of suspicious-looking Indian and Filipino people. I asked the front desk about safety, and the staff member arrogantly replied, 'Hong Kong is an international city, it's normal to have many foreigners here.' My fellow compatriots from mainland China, if you're traveling to Hong Kong, either spend an extra thousand yuan for a decent hotel, or return to Shenzhen to stay for the night and come back to Hong Kong through the border crossing the next morning. Absolutely do not stay here, and do not stay in the nearby Chungking Mansions, including all the guesthouses within it. Stay far, far away! Avoid!

Due to a flight delay, I arrived late, but the staff was incredibly accommodating and still processed my check-in. I really appreciate that! The room was great and very comfortable. Thanks for the hospitality!
