Wharney Hotel

The room was very comfortable, quiet, and newly renovated with plenty of space. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were all very friendly. The surrounding area is convenient, and it's just a 10-minute walk to the beach, which you can access via a covered walkway the whole way.

Location: Just a 3-minute walk from Wan Chai MTR Exit C. You can also take bus A11 directly from the airport. Environment: Clean and spacious rooms, which is considered quite large for Hong Kong. Amenities: Toothbrush, slippers, towels, hairdryer, shower gel, and shampoo are all provided. Staff: All staff members are polite and can speak English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. Overall, the room was quiet, the air conditioning was sufficiently cold, and the shower had good water pressure. I stayed for six nights and had a very pleasant experience.

I've stayed here twice already, and as a returning guest, I wanted to leave a well-deserved positive review. A big thank you to the hotel for their excellent and thoughtful service! I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hong Kong for leisure or business. First, the hotel's service: The front desk proactively upgraded me to a 'Premier Blue Sky Room' for free, provided a complimentary breakfast for the next day, and even gave me free coffee vouchers. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast spread was fantastic, with a great variety of both Western and Chinese options. The hotel's location is also superb, right in the heart of the bustling street market area, on Lockhart Road. You can step out and immediately start exploring and dining. Hennessey Road and Queen's Road are just a short walk away, making it perfect for a city walk. It's incredibly convenient whether you're heading to popular restaurants or trying out local snacks. Wan Chai station is just a few minutes' walk from the hotel, and the next stop is Causeway Bay, which is super convenient for shopping!

Facilities: The overall vibe is pretty old-school, and you still have to stand in the bathtub to shower, but for the price, it's not bad. Cleanliness: It's okay, quite clean. Environment: It feels a bit dated, but I found it acceptable. There's a gym and a pool, which I only discovered were in a separate building when I came back to pick up my luggage and use the restroom after checking out. Service: Pretty good, all satisfactory.

Conveniently located near Southorn Playground on Hennessy Road, it's easy to get around by MTR, bus, or tram. There are several 7-Eleven stores downstairs, and the lobby offers free tea and coffee. The front desk staff are very polite. The room has just been renovated, and for this price point in Hong Kong, it's quite spacious, clean, and bright. The water pressure is excellent, and disposable amenities like toothbrushes and slippers are provided. However, the soundproofing isn't particularly great.

The bedding was clean and hygienic, and the pillows were just the right firmness. The air conditioning was strong, and the location was convenient for transportation. There were plenty of dining options downstairs, and it was a short walk to Victoria Harbour. The complimentary coffee was also very fragrant. Overall, it was a great stay.
