Nathan Hotel

The most satisfying part of our trip was this hotel. The location and service were impeccable. My two college-aged kids and the high schooler all praised the hotel's service. The breakfast was also delicious. They provided two universal power adapters, disposable toiletries, and slippers. We asked for two extra blankets, which were delivered promptly, but we had to put the duvet covers on ourselves.

The hotel's location is excellent, right in Yau Tsim Mong, making it convenient for shopping and sightseeing.

The transportation is incredibly convenient. The A21 airport bus goes directly to the hotel, and there are also many subway stations and bus stops nearby. We arrived around 11 AM, and since there was an available room, they upgraded us to a corner room on the top floor, which was very quiet and saved us a lot of hassle. There are also many great restaurants nearby. The room had everything we needed, including disposable toiletries and a universal power adapter. The size of the room is quite good for Hong Kong.

I chose the Nathan Hotel after reading the reviews, and it definitely didn't disappoint. The room was quite spacious for Hong Kong standards, and overall it was pretty good. The location is also excellent; you can take the A21 bus directly from the airport, which is super convenient.

Within a 5-minute walk from the MTR station, there are many dining and shopping options nearby, and it's quite lively. The room size is considered very spacious for Hong Kong, and the facilities are comprehensive.

This is my second bad experience at this hotel. For an 1800 suite, the duvet was moldy. As soon as I walked in, there was a pungent smell, and the air conditioning rumbled all night! If a duvet is moldy, they should at least seal it up so guests don't see it.

The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient for getting around and finding food. Taking the A21 bus from the airport drops you right at the hotel entrance. We stayed for four nights and were upgraded to a larger room. The cleanliness was impeccable. The only downside was that the air conditioning was too cold; we had to turn it off every night to sleep, but it never got hot.

The service was so-so. I understand that there were objective circumstances, as it was pouring rain in Hong Kong on August 20th. However, it took over two hours for an open umbrella to dry in an air-conditioned room. You can judge for yourselves.

Considering the average hotel price of around a thousand dollars in Hong Kong, the facilities at this hotel were quite disappointing, and the overall experience was rather poor: As soon as we entered the room, the bathroom light started flickering (it was eventually replaced). The most absurd part was at around 10 PM when we turned off the lights to sleep, only to find that the LED strip light on the air conditioning vent couldn't be turned off at all! The late-night maintenance severely disrupted our rest: Because of the light strip issue, close to 11 PM, the hotel sent multiple waves of male staff into our room to fix it. Our child was already in bed getting ready to sleep, and we adults had already showered and were in our pajamas. Having male staff frequently entering and leaving made us feel very uncomfortable and lacked any sense of privacy! After 20 minutes of trying, they couldn't fix it, and in the end, they could only use black tape to cover the light strip. Because of this incident, our child didn't fall asleep until nearly midnight, and our Disney trip the next day was somewhat affected. The next day, the hotel offered complimentary breakfast as compensation, but the selection was extremely limited, and the taste was very subpar, even worse than a casual dim sum meal outside. The location is awkward: The only upside was the spacious room, but the location is about 700-800 meters away from the bustling city center. Walking there in Hong Kong's weather is extremely hot and inconvenient. If you're willing to sacrifice a bit of room space, I highly recommend staying in the Miramar area, which is much better for shopping. Disappointed with Ctrip platform: Faced with such a significant incident that severely impacted our sleep and privacy, Ctrip, as the booking platform, did nothing throughout the whole process, which was very disappointing.
