The pre-war historic building is now transformed into a classy boutique hotel. Built in 30's, Hotel 1936 throws back the memories of this city collected in these 80 years. History never fades here. While keeping its original art deco architectural exterior, the interior is now decked out with chic, contemporary sophistication, thanks to the brilliance of renowned interior designers.
Inspired by traditional Chinese Bogu shelves, the design of the hotel’s exterior is rich in heritage and steeped with culture. This essence is in response to art deco design of the 80 years old facade preserved in this project. The 50 guestrooms in the present-day 20-storey hotel extension are here to welcome visitors near and far, providing confortable space yet telling them interesting stories of the neighbourhood. Will only stay here for its location but also depending on the price (this hotel price surge drastically) and this hotel's service is really negative. Extremely rude and unkind front desk agents, they make sure to lecture you even before you leave the hotel. We were only slightly pass the check out time, they came knocking our doors multiple times(literally every 5mins) and make sure to lecture u once again when u check out. They will not hesitate to raise their voice at all zero empathy for guest (heavily pregnant)

It to cold and don hav heater .the price is too high .not worth at all .and don hav slipper provide to customer that while bath .the floor is cold .i book it for 750 somethings .really expensive and not worth at all .wont come this hotel again.not worth for the price in this area.

Nice hotel, close to MTR. In a very busy area but lots of markets nearby. Was a comfortable stay.

Nice blend of city and bucolic view where you can see plenty of trees and mountains if your room is at top floors.
Sound insulation is tepid though. The clomour of querulous guests at the room adjacent to mine veritably disturbed my video conference. Fortunately other than that the room is in excellent condition and free of squalidity.

Tiny room but comfortable and strategically located. My room had an interesting view of the HK skyline. There's a refrigerator and all the typical amenities of a modern 3 star hotel. The reception is at third floor which you may enjoy if you like privacy.

A nice hotel with a powerful air-con for the warm summer . With a lot of wonderful restaurants around. Even I'm sick also can order all kind of nice food. Just that need to go down collect. 😝
