Grand Bay View Hotel

The hotel location is very remote. The shuttle driver was extremely rude and impatient. Poor service. If you're going to be so nasty, you shouldn't be in the service industry.

The hotel is decent, close to the sea, but the transportation isn't very convenient.

Coming to Hong Kong this time, I searched for many hotels on Trip.com, but most rooms were tiny and the facilities were outdated. I finally decided to stay at the Best Western Plus Hotel Hong Kong, and as soon as I entered, I was blown away by the sea-view room on the first floor with a large balcony! Stepping out, you're greeted by an endless expanse of clear blue sea – the view is absolutely stunning! 🌊 At night, I enjoyed the sea breeze on the balcony, watching the starry sky, eating fruit, and having drinks. It was so relaxing I didn't want to leave. Getting around from the hotel is super convenient; there's a free shuttle bus directly to the MTR station, making it easy to go shopping, explore, and try out all the amazing local food. The buffet breakfast was a bit simple, so don't have high expectations. Once you're near the MTR station, there are so many Hong Kong delicacies that you'll wish you had more stomachs to try them all. The hotel offers a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle, with a healing sea view and excellent value for money. The experience was fantastic, and it's definitely on my must-stay list for my next visit to Hong Kong. I'll definitely be back!

I feel completely ripped off! The location is terrible, and the hotel environment is awful. The room facilities are really old, and the soundproofing is incredibly poor. You can hear every conversation echoing in the hallway, and the doors slamming in nearby rooms kept me awake all night. It was so bad that I was woken up by noise around 6 AM. What's even crazier is the extra bed in the living area – the mattress springs were completely shot, making it impossible to sleep. This place is a total dump!!! Seriously, I want to complain.

The Ctrip 4-star rating is very misleading. I don't completely dismiss the hotel; the bay view is nice, but the facilities are old and outdated. It's not worth the price. It's not unlivable, especially considering the price. It might be okay for 200+ on a weekday, but don't waste your money if it's over 400. Please see the photos for yourself. For just 200 more on a weekday, you could book the Weijing Hotel (part of CTS) or the Harbour Plaza Metropolis (part of Cheung Kong), which are genuine 4-star hotels and offer much better value for money. I have no idea what ridiculous standards this hotel's 4-star rating is based on. I recommend checking reviews before booking. Regarding service attitude, some staff members were good, but a few were absolutely unacceptable.
