I had read some reviews and was a little concerned about the environment, but fortunately, I'm from Nanning and frequently camp at Dawangtan, so I'm familiar with the area and the road conditions weren't a big issue. Even if the Dawangtan scenic area was marked closed, it didn't affect my enjoyment; I could still drive in, just a little less crowded than when it was open.
