Rodeway Inn & Suites Houston Near Medical Center

The office where you check in/out was nothing more than a walk up window. The horrible musty smell assaulted us as soon as we opened the door to our room. That smell permeated all our clothes and bags. It took a week to air out our bags!! Our room was on the 2nd floor. The facility has no elevator; therefore, we had to make multiple trips up/down stairs in order to get our belongings from car to room. Pack light if you intend staying here! The bathroom had only 2 bath towels which were haphazardly folded giving the impression they had been used. Since there was no phone in room to contact front office, I had to go down stairs to office to request wash cloths. The maid eventually made it to our room with the wash cloths. She acted put out that she had to make the extra trip! The coffee pot in kitchen was unusable--most of components were missing. They provided one styrofoam cup. The second morning we found a bug in the bed. My husband had bites on his chest. The bug was too big to be a bed bug--I checked for those as soon as we entered the room initially. The sheets were dingy, stained and had a couple holes in them. Needless to say, we will never stay there again!!!

I remember that place being really well, kepted years ago. Now, it just looks like a place for the homeless. And every time i've gone, i've had to switch rooms at least three times. M s a parties is I'll probably still go back because of the prices. The staff was not like they weren't helpful.It's just the place was not well kept

My family did not stay at this hotel. Upon checking in, immediately left to another hotel due to uncleanliness.

Gets worse every step of the way. Manager was rude. Gave me my key, pointed in the general direction of the unit and said “cable isn’t working” as he walked away. I get to the unit and have to shoulder check the door to unstick it, this is when the door handle inside flys off and into the middle of the room. Later I find out that the only way to use the handle to get out of the room is by holding the latch with my pocket knife. Next up I kill 2 roaches, saw several in the hour I was willing to stay. I go to check out the bathroom and see the sink is stained yellow so I turn on the water to find out that it is also yellow. And another glance over, used condoms in the bathroom trash bag. Luckily had my knife to escape the room, literally.

The location was nice, but husband said it could have been a little better.. The tub, a little more towles in the room.. could have used a trash can in the room.. and better pillows

Avoid this hotel at all costs! A ZERO star rating option was not available or that is what I would have rated this hotel. I booked this hotel for a quick over-night stay for my husband because he was visiting our son the the ICU in Houston and we live out of town. We had a nicer hotel booked for the next day (when I was arriving); however, my husband left a day earlier and needed something close by for a little shut eye. He checked in to go shower & freshen up, as he planned to go back to the hospital and return to the hotel later to sleep. He showered quickly and left the hotel, as he said that the hotel had a roach infestation. Needless to say, I paid for a shower, not a place for anyone to sleep.
