DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Houston by The Galleria

We were there for one night, Location is great but service and quality is horrible. Elevator doesn’t work well, took 45 min to use 1 working elevator, some people were taking the stairs with kids from 10th floor down. Parking lot stairs was slippery ( best to take the valet parking). Room - stains were on the carpet, smoke smell, TV remote doesn’t work well. Only complementary stuff provided was towels, hand soap, and 2 packs of makeup remover. Service- not very professional and dressed unprofessionally.

Furniture, very old carpet, they have to change it cigarette burns  all over 

It was great other than condensation from air conditioning on sliding door and patio which had green algae everywhere

The experience was quite pleasant. The members of staff who attended to our needs during our one week training were helpful and responsive to our needs. Mariam, at the reception, was willing to assist and offer help upon request. The location of the hotel and the facilities were fantastic as well. All round pleasant experience

This place smelled like mold, was humid, was dirty, and badly needs a complete remodel. It might have been nice in the early 1990s, but it is not now. The staff at the desk was nice, but everyone else, not so much. If I had to stay here again, I would find another place. It was not scary - it just was not nice.

Receptionist was excellent and responsive. However, there should be bottle water and a pen/ pencil in the room
