We were the only ones there when we stayed. It was a Monday so the restaurant wasn’t open, yet we had a great time. Beautiful grounds, accommodation clean and well kept. Sitting and watching the animals wander with a fanatic view was an amazing experience.

We were the only guests the night we stayed. The room was large and well equipped, with a lovely view. We did have to go out for dinner, though, as we were there on a night when the restaurant was closed. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and having the animals wandering around the grounds.

We stayed at St Ives last being a couple years ago and were lucky to get a booking for the weekend. It was our first time staying in the family suite with our new baby and it exceeded expectations. Absolutely serene and beautiful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.. the serviced was great and the family 4 sleeper was really spacious, clean comfortable. Lots of space to perhaps add a small dining table and a side table with a lamp so we don't have to have the bright lights on at all times in the living space. The dam was really beautiful with lots of fish and we also loved the wild animals roaming around us freely. Dinner at The Boma was superb - excellent pizzas!

We attended a wedding and decided to stay at the venue. The venue and location was beautiful. The rooms were dated, old, smelt strange and full of insects. Also I had my child with me and we paid a surcharge which was no problem, when we asked for a towel for him they refused (still not sure why, was told guest steal towels) The bathrooms are so old and dated and we were not able to get hot water, the shower also leaked ND the entire floor was wet. Please also not my entire immediate family stayed there and we had booked a total of 5 rooms but a towel could not be spared. It's truly a beautiful venue but the rooms need urgent work and the staff at reception can't talk properly.

We stayed here overnight – the unit was very spacious and well laid out and with a very comfortable bed – it was a self-catering unit and although we did not make use of this it looked very well kitted out – a nice restaurant / pub on site - the real plus was an open stove with plenty of wood which made for a warm evening with of course a good bottle of red – missing was a second armchair – we were being hosted so I cannot comment on cost.

There is lack of back up Power during load shedding. There is no water during load shedding as they only use borehole water. We had no water and couldn’t shower, the staff was unhelpful.

Wesley, Palesa and David went out of their way to ensure that my 40th weekend away was nothing short of incredible! Beautiful rooms, surroundings, and atmosphere! The Boma also has the best pizzas in the Midlands! Thank you so much St Ives.
