Check-in convenience: Self check-in was quite convenient; communication via WeChat/Line was possible. The night market is a 10-minute walk away. Safety: Good location, very safe. Facilities: As pictured, a 'prison-style' experience, which I definitely felt. Hygiene: Hygiene was acceptable. Environment: The environment was unique, worth experiencing.

I went alone and planned to stay here for one night. When I arrived, I fell asleep right away without taking any pictures ☺️ Overall, it was great – quiet and peaceful 🥰

The design is wild and exotic. The price is reasonable, and it's located close to excellent dining establishments.

Provided a fine bed to sleep in, but there was no counter staff and little atmosphere. Talked about a bar etc but that is all closed up.

The room was spacious, tidy, and clean. The prison theme was amusing, and they even have a photo area where you can pose as an inmate. The surrounding area is pleasant, with plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance.

As a solo traveler, I couldn't help but appreciate the eerie vibes that the place exudes, especially since I'm a fan of horror. Every night, I found myself immersed in an atmosphere that perfectly catered to my taste. It's not often that you come across a hostel that provides such a unique and thrilling ambiance. Cleanliness is always a priority for me, and I was pleased to find that Peace Prison Cafe Inn Hostel did not disappoint in this aspect. The rooms were well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant stay. I am overlook that this hotel has no lift. So we need to carry heavy luggage to 1st floor. Provide many boardgame and playing card at the counter. And the prison Theme is quite fun, the hotel provide many prison cloth and prison accessories for photo shooting. special experience.

It's filthy. The showerhead and toilet are disgustingly dirty. Wastewater from the sink is discharged directly onto the balcony floor—what kind of design is this? The bed is too soft, and the lobby is unbearably stuffy...

During my trip to Hualien, I chose the much-talked-about "Prison Cultural Hotel" experience. I had high hopes for this prison-themed cultural and creative hotel, but the experience was rather disappointing. First, the cleanliness of the room was just average—not messy, but it didn't feel particularly clean or fresh. The room was infested with mosquitoes, and I started getting bitten within minutes of lying in bed. While the hotel thoughtfully provided electric mosquito repellent, it didn't seem very effective. I ended up using mosquito repellent patches to sleep more peacefully. The room lighting was also a bit bothering me. Even when I turned it on, it was still dim, almost like a nightlight. The bathroom light was also very dim, making it difficult to see clearly when showering or using the restroom at night, which was a bit inconvenient. Next, I briefly explored the public facilities on the first floor. While the design was unique, the environment was incredibly stuffy. Even after a brief use of the public restroom, I came out drenched in sweat, almost like I'd just finished a workout, making it difficult to stay for long. Better ventilation or air conditioning would be a plus. It's worth mentioning that transportation and parking are relatively convenient. I arrived by scooter, and there were plenty of parking spaces nearby, so I didn't have to worry about parking, which is a plus. Overall, the "Prison Cultural Hotel" concept is certainly interesting, but the actual comfort of the accommodations leaves much to be desired. For a quick overnight stay and those who aren't picky about quality, it might be worth a try, but if you're looking for a good night's sleep and a relaxing trip, you might want to give it some thought. I hope the hotel can improve the room lighting, mosquito control, and ventilation in the common areas in the future to make this interesting themed hotel a truly recommended option.
