Bantshiann Hualie Hotel

I've never stayed in a such substandard hotel like this one anywhere in the world. I stayed 11 nights in different hotels and cities in Taiwan in this trip, the price of this hotel is the fifth most expensive one, but the room I stayed in the hotel is very ridiculous and totally a joke. Aoid this hotel unless you want to get a very unpleasure experince. 1. The window curtain is so narrow such that there are obvious gaps between the window edges and curtain on both sides of the window. People on street could easily see the inside of the room at night if the room lights are on. After I complained the problem to hotel staff, they brought in three shower towels to cover the gaps. 2. Sound insulation of the windows is very poor. Street noises can be clearly heard. 3. There is a big gap between the door and floor. The hallway light and conversations can be clearly seen and heard from inside of the room. 4. The door lock is the very old and very unsecure type (the hotel staff called it "horn lock" (喇叭锁)). This is the first time I've seen a hotel uses this type of unsecure door locks. 5. The bath room is small and there is no curtain/wall/door between the toilet and shower place. The shower water can easily spill to everywhere of the bath room. 6. There are no shower towels provided in the bath room. Only hand towels are provided. 7. The shower head holder is installed at a very low position (about 1 meter above the floor) so that you have to use one hand to hold the shower head while washing yourself clean. 8. It is said there is a free wifi named "nahotel", but the name never showed up after repeated search on my iPhone. 9. There is notice on the toilet that says don't flush toilet paper down the toilet. 10. There are no night stands by the bed. When I complained the problems to the hotel staff, the only excuse she gave me was the hotel was too old. But most of the problems listed above can be very easily fixed regardless of whether or not the hotel is old or new.

Nice enough hotel, room floor needed a bit of a clean. No shower towels provided, extra fee. Excellent location

Location is good near bus stop. Room has nice AC and all you need. Big problem with towels, they charge you 30 dollars to rent them if you want to shower. Also big problem with the keys, rooms cannot be locked from the outside

Overall a good experience (except one thing - see in the bottom). The location is somewhat central and on the walking promenade, but not very close to the railway station or the waterfront. About 25-35 min walk to the railway station but still okay. About 15 min to the waterfront. Food options: there are a couple of local restaurants right near across from the promenade, including a noodle shop, a tempura donburi and a fried seafood place - all along the promenade. There's also a PX Mart not too far away, about 5 min walk. The rooms are spacious and clean, very new renovation (as of 2025, seems like 2023-2024), no fridge in the room (on the first floor only), but there's a kettle. The bed was somewhat stiff but okay. Overall felt like great value for the location and the quality, and especially the room size. The only drawback - Easy to fix - was the towels. There was no proper size bathroom towels on my stay in May 2025. The small towels are rather insuficcient for showering.

Nice room with modern design. Comfy and clean. Location very easy to find.
