We spent six nights here as part of an EasyJet all-inclusive package holiday, and really enjoyed it. The hotel is pretty modern, feels new, is very well maintained and cleaned. We didn't come here for the food truth be told - it's not Egypt's strongest point. That said, the main restaurant always served up plenty of tasty food. The Dine Out option we chose was the Aqua and we felt that was the best of the trip. And judging from the (almost universally poor) reviews of the food by other travellers we met who were staying in other hotels along the coast, we struck lucky at the Iberotel. The staff were all friendly and professional. We liked coming back to our room each day to see what animal had been crafted with towels by the cleaner. My wife was particularly happy with the restaurant staff, especially a chap called Ahmed, who went out of their way to keep us happy. The whole Madinat Makadi resort area was really pleasant. Peaceful, clean, well looked after, safe and it felt quite exclusive. If we go back to Hurghada, we'd definitely look to stay in this area. And the Iberotel would be top of our list.
