This was our 3rd time staying at Saw Mill. The new remodel is amazing! Everything looked clean, but there is an odor in the rooms that is not pleasant. I’m not sure if it is in the carpet or the a/c filters but it is an unpleasant sweaty sock odor. Many hotels have switched to lvp flooring that can be mopped clean. Removing the carpet might remedy that. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

Dirty bedding, asked for new, received right away. Very thin walls. Service was amazing, staff was great. Seems like Management/Owners overlook details and care to meet bottom line. Everything (minus staff) was cheap except the price of the stay.

Overall good experience. We only stayed overnight. Went to bed pretty early to leave early. Front desk told us we were charged $28 for frozen daiquiris which blew our minds because we didn’t eat or drink anything while staying on the property. They said they’d clear the charge, but we will see in a few days.

Sawmill was very nice. Family friendly, great pool area as well. The beds were super comfortable. Not too soft and not too firm. Shower pressure was amazing. It was very clean and quiet. The only thing I would suggest is that they put a coffee maker in the room. There is a fridge and small microwave but I was surprised there was no coffee maker. Otherwise, I’d give it a 9 out of 10. 😊

The property was nice and quiet. The grounds were beautiful. The cleaning staff were always cleaning the rooms, halls, etc. The comfort room had extra hall space, comfortable beds, nice bathroom. The room has a microwave and fridge. Opportunities to improve: 1) No coffee pot in room, no coffee in the lobby. 2) Shampoo and conditioner bottles are tiny and I didn’t love the quality.
FYI..Some rooms are very far from the lobby, pool, restaurants and require a lot of walking.

Overall, we had a good stay. The pool area could have been a little cleaner (ground) and the floor in the entryway of our room as well. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was clean. It was convenient to get to Cedar Point. Amenities wise, we wish there had been a continental breakfast, which would have increased our ratings. Staff was friendly, but didn’t have a lot of knowledge about the area or places to dine. We didn’t explore the property much past the hotel. All in all, it was a good stay.

The property was nice. However, we went a weekend when it was packed full of grade school softball players. The pools were packed and our smaller children had a difficult time in them with the excited older children. Some of the kids were knocking on room doors and running throughout the night. It was very LOUD there.
