A true hidden gem in Anji, the Anji Treasure Island Nautical Resort feels like stepping aboard a luxury liner that has quietly anchored itself in a world of bamboo forests and still, reflective waters. The entire resort is designed in the unmistakable shape and spirit of a ship, complete with maritime detailing, porthole-style windows, brass accents, and cabin-inspired interiors that make every room feel like a private suite at sea. From the moment you arrive, you are surrounded by tropical-style gardens and serene lagoons where ducks glide across the water and fish move like living brushstrokes beneath the surface. It is calm, immersive, and almost dreamlike. The service is simply outstanding — attentive, warm, and effortless. Nothing feels forced; everything feels considered. Breakfast is sumptuous and generous, with a spread that feels worthy of a grand voyage rather than a countryside resort. Every detail is elevated. The rooms are extraordinary — sleeping here genuinely feels like being inside a luxury cabin on an ocean liner, yet with the comfort, silence, and space of a high-end retreat. What makes this place unforgettable is its setting: tranquil and secluded, yet perfectly positioned to explore everything Anji has to offer. You feel away from the world, but never far from it. As we sat outside on the man-made beach overlooking the beautiful pond, framed by rolling mountains, a golf buggy passed by. The driver, Ben, stopped and kindly asked if we would like to take a ride around the hotel grounds. What followed was unforgettable. We set off together and immediately began to ascend into the mountain areas, where the landscape opened up into something extraordinary. We were surrounded by peach trees, olive trees, and endless tea plantations stretching across the hillsides. The scenery felt untouched and alive. Stunning waterfalls cascaded down rock faces, and wildlife was everywhere — fish moving through clear waters, turtles basking quietly, geese and ducks gliding freely across ponds and streams. It felt like a living ecosystem woven seamlessly into the resort itself. At the peak, we reached the most incredible lookout observatory and restaurant, offering panoramic views over Anji and far beyond. The vistas were vast and layered, mountains fading into the distance under a calm, open sky. To top it all off, there is even a zip line (rip cord) for those brave enough to ascend and descend in style — an exhilarating contrast to the serenity below. Throughout it all, Ben’s kindness, warmth, and care were extraordinary, and perfectly matched the beauty of the experience. His generosity of spirit elevated the entire journey. A stay that moves from ship-like luxury, to lakeside tranquillity, to mountain adventure — all within a single, seamless experience. Simply unforgettable.

Travelers beware! The photos advertising Ke Gamer do not resemble to actual room and the food is horrible. I opted to upgrade to the private hot spring villa for close to 4000rmb a night expecting a high class experience but was instead highly disappointed! We arrived on a Saturday and reserved a table at the restaurant, famished from traveling and expecting a wonderful meal. They did not mention that this was a set menu (only for the package that was included with the room) so there was no option to select my dishes nor to explain our gluten free diet. First bread came (couldn’t eat it, gluten) then a mushroom chicken soup that was difficult to swallow. Over salted and the chicken was rubbery. Then came there version of a kimchi that was ok. Shrimp next that was battered (gluten) and smothered in mayonnaise, and then an over salted spicy beef dish and inedible veggies dish.At this point we decided to leave and opted instead to pay for food delivery. When we shared this information with the assistant helping us he messaged me saying you are a foreigner would you prefer chicken wings or a steak. I’ve been living in China 10 years and never spoken to so rudely. My gf then wanted to have a soak in the hot spring and have a fire because the rain had stopped but she was told no they could not do this for us that night. That’s when I added the wechat and she deleted him so she would no longer have to talk to someone so rude. We did find it strange that even though I was now in communication with him he still attempted to friend my gf several times, very disrespectful!! After I explained how unsatisfactory the service was to that point he made more of an effort and we did get to enjoy a relaxing evening outside. The next day we stayed away from the restaurant not wanting to have that experience again so ordered delivery service again, decent food for delivery. We did attempt the on site restaurant one more time before checking out for breakfast and this was awful as well. Cold eggs, bacon and sausage. They did have a nice assortment of breads which we could not eat (gluten) so we had a yogurt container and coffee before leaving. One part of the stay was an assistant driving us into town to a nice tea shop. He took us tot he location and offered to help us select a shop. He was very friendly and helpful inside the shop to explain the differences in teas and get us a good deal. We ended up purchasing 2 boxes of tea to take home. Overall I did not enjoy the stay at this overpriced and falsely advertised hotel. This is certainly one case when we did not get what we paid for. Wishing you better luck than we had.

I had this mountain retreat saved in my favorites for years, and I finally decided to check it out during my recent break. I was a bit worried it might be a disappointment, but it turned out to be a perfect 10! Every staff member was so kind, patient, and always smiling. The real-time, one-on-one group chat service was a huge bonus. Duty Manager Yang Lingling was incredibly nice; anything we needed was promptly delivered by golf cart. I felt a bit bad constantly bothering the staff on the first night, but they were all so patient with every request. The hotel beds are especially comfortable – after a rainy day bath, I’d fall asleep instantly. The DIY activities like crafting, incense sachets, pottery, and handmade soaps were so fulfilling. Just before we checked out, Manager Yang Lingling even had a staff member give us a tour of the entire guesthouse and its surroundings. (Lingling always greeted us with a cheerful smile and excellent service, which was a big plus!) The young man, True, who showed us around, was very meticulous in explaining each guesthouse, and he was so kind and charming. Standing on the mountain top, I was truly impressed by the owner's vision. I hope for good weather on my next visit so I can experience the Land Rover again! 😍

For this family trip, we stayed at two hotels with our child. One was the Kaiyuan Jiale Palace, which offered excellent value for money and convenient access to Jiale Palace Amusement Park. The other was the Banyan Tree, which also provided a good experience. I really liked the hotel's large outdoor pool, but it only operated until 7 PM in the summer, which made it difficult to coordinate with our child's dinner time. I suggest extending the hours a bit. The Chinese restaurant was decent, neither exceptional nor bad, but I recommend adding pictures to the menu to make ordering easier for guests. Breakfast was quite extensive, and we even encountered peacocks strolling around, which was a nice little bonus. My favorite part was the live singer at the lobby bar in the evenings; the ambiance was fantastic, and the drinks and food at the lobby bar were also quite tasty. The service from the lobby bar staff was also very good. Our butler, Luna, provided excellent and dedicated service, helping us resolve various issues. However, the housekeeping was a bit lackluster, as they forgot to clean up cotton swabs left on the floor by the previous guest. The photos taken by the travel photographer were also beautiful, and we were very satisfied with them. Overall, it was still a pretty good stay.

Ever since Naked Retreats opened in Moganshan, I've been following their properties there. Finally getting to stay at Naked Castle felt like fulfilling a long-held wish. And as expected, it was a pleasant surprise and simply stunning! It's mysterious yet accessible, feeling secluded without being too far from civilization. You can switch between the mountain tranquility and the outside world in just half an hour. I'll definitely be back.

The three-day and two-night trip was contacted by the handsome butler Xiao Yin on WeChat one day in advance to recommend nearby restaurants and places to visit. We set off early the next day. The May Day hotel room was full and had not been cleaned yet. We could get the room card after dinner. The butler service was really nice. He helped with the luggage and parked the car. The shuttle bus personally sent us to the room. Along the way, he briefly introduced the location of the park and the location of the hot spring. The car was parked very close to the room. The fruit and drinks in the small refrigerator in the room were unlimited and free. He also gave my daughter a park doll. My daughter said she liked rafting, and Xiao Yin also gave her a rafting ticket~ In short, the service was very attentive. Next to the hotel is the Jialebi Amusement Park. When checking in, you need to scan your face. When entering and exiting the amusement park, you need to scan your face. There is a special passage for hotel guests. There are many amusement facilities inside, and there are many exciting projects, such as the big pendulum, pirate ship, roller coaster, and bungee jumping. I have to mention that my father was not feeling well on the first day. At 8 or 9 o'clock in the evening, the housekeeper Xiao Yin accompanied us to the hospital after work. It was really considerate. I brought my parents and daughter to stay. The old one was not feeling well, and the young one had to be dragged to the hospital together. It was really much better to have someone to help. There was no thunder in the park. The three performances after 19 o'clock in the evening must be seen. The iron flower is really shocking. I have seen many iron flowers, but this one is really unique~ I give a super five-star praise to the handsome and careful Xiao Yin!

This guesthouse has so much character! The owner clearly put a lot of thought and effort into the design. The massive, floor-to-ceiling bookshelf instantly brings a sense of calm, which is especially welcome on a hot summer day. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, browse books, read, or simply have a moment of quiet reflection. Oh, and the owner even gave me a complimentary room upgrade, which was incredibly comfortable.

Facilities: Check-in was a breeze. The hotel has multiple shuttle buses that can take guests to the front desk, restaurants, pet park, and other locations at any time, which is very efficient. There's also a 24-hour self-service convenience store in the hotel, so even if you get hungry at night, you can easily grab some snacks and drinks. Hygiene: The hotel's hygiene is excellent. Most rooms seem to be suites with large terraces, very spacious, and the air conditioning works perfectly. Environment: The rooms are nestled among bamboo groves, scattered and tranquil, offering great privacy. Outside the window, there are vast bamboo forests, a treat for the eyes and lungs. The most unique feature is the breakfast restaurant where you can feed giraffes up close. It can get a bit crowded during peak hours, so I hope they can set up a designated feeding area to guide guests for feeding and photos. This way, guests who can't sit by the window can still feed the giraffes without disturbing other diners. Service: The shuttle buses operate 24/7, and the staff are polite and enthusiastic ❤️, highly recommend! 👍 Welcome Fruit: In addition to the fruit and snack box in the room, there were also drinks and popsicles provided during check-in, which was a thoughtful touch on a hot summer day. Giraffe Manor Scenic Area Tickets for Two Adults and One Child: This hotel belongs to the same group as the Little Panda Manor in Xishuangbanna. I visited the Little Panda Manor during the Dragon Boat Festival and was impressed by their dedication to animals, making it one of the best interactive animal viewing parks. Giraffe Manor also takes excellent care of its animals, offering many interactive experiences, which was fantastic. The slide experience was also great.

Anji has a dense network of hotels and guesthouses, making the choice incredibly difficult before our trip. After comparing many options online, we finally settled on the ”Fulan” room type at this guesthouse, which appears to be on the highest floor. The moment the door opened, my husband and I were overjoyed, praising the room's beauty: lush green bamboo groves and three large floor-to-ceiling windows! It was simply the perfect escape from the city for relaxation! The receptionists were incredibly nice. They created a service group before our check-in to help with our luggage and direct parking – so thoughtful and attentive! A big thumbs up! The only downside was the lack of an elevator; it felt a little awkward asking them to carry things up the stairs whenever we wanted something. The room had a Marshall sound system and other amenities. Connecting to Bluetooth and playing soothing music while soaking in the hot spring was incredibly relaxing! A few minor suggestions: 1. The bathroom could have two floor mats, one for the hot spring area and one for the shower. It's quite slippery after coming out of the hot spring. 2. The bathroom leak wasn't very effective; water would overflow if you showered for too long. 3. For this price and environment, it would be even better if the room had a coffee machine and coffee cups. It would be much more convenient to have coffee in the room or on the terrace in the morning, instead of having to go downstairs and bother the front desk every time. 4. I hope the breakfast could be more varied, with more hot options. Overall, I was very satisfied with this weekend trip! I will definitely come again!

My trip to Moganshan was spurred by a rare good weather weekend and a spontaneous decision. I blindly booked this B&B on Trip.com simply because I liked its name, 'Moshangyin'. I'm just a hopelessly spontaneous person. My suitcase packed clothes for tomorrow, my camera, and a bottle of red wine. I specifically booked a room with a bathtub, hoping to get tipsy under a sky full of stars before drifting off to sleep. However, the reality was I ended up sharing that bottle of wine over a staff meal at the B&B. I met the lovely and fun Sister Fen, known as 'Moganshan's Queen', and the incredibly approachable and wise B&B owner, Da Ling. She cooked me delicious shredded pork noodles and helped me take many great photos. I was the only guest who got to join that meal, simply because I was the only solo guest at the whole B&B – how both sad and interesting is that? In my heart, Moshangyin in Moganshan definitely deserves a five-star review.
