Ibusuki Onsen Hotel Shougetsu

It used to be called "Coral Beach Hotel", but now it's called "Hotel Shogetsu". Is the name change due to the seawall construction in front of the hotel? This time we stayed on a JTB tour. There were 3 of us, but I thought there would be an extra bed in the twin room, but I was given a large room with a western style room with a twin bed in the corner room and a Japanese style room. It was very comfortable because it was more than twice the size of a normal twin room. Kagoshima Bay spreads over the entire balcony from the room, but I was a little worried that the shore in front of me was under construction. In the early morning, the beautiful scenery of dawn spreads out, so if the weather is good, I think it is essential to get up early. Ibusuki Onsen is famous for sand baths, but this hotel does not have such facilities, so we took a shuttle bus from the hotel that leaves every 20 minutes to a nearby municipal sand bath called Saraku. This is also an interesting experience. Dinner is at the hotel banquet hall with the same tour, but the tables are separated by groups and the distance between the tables is so far that you can't talk to them. The food was delicious and the amount was sufficient, but you can also order additional items such as binago tempura, sashimi, and bonito tataki. All of them are delicious and I am thankful that I can enjoy the local taste for about 800 yen. I was able to enjoy Kagoshima because Ibusuki shochu was also placed. Breakfast was at the same venue, but the landlady came to greet me and I thought it was a polite hotel. The hot spring at the hotel was a sodium spring, and the large public bath was large and comfortable. It's a small hotel, so it's good that it's not crowded.
