Thought I'd share my experience with this hotel. On 9 Apr 23, I booked a room using ********** for two nights - 7-8 Apr 24 - to be in a prime spot to view the total solar eclipse. The cost was about $190/night. On 27 Apr 23, I received a phone call from the hotel telling me my reservation was made by their mistake due to a "computer glitch," and that they fixed the "problem." The "glitch" required them to cancel my reservation. He offered to re-book me at the rate of $550/night. Since I had a confirmed reservation in hand, and I wasn't responsible for their "glitch," I demanded they honor my original reservation. He refused. I have no problem with paying more - a lot more - during this time frame. But there are limits. If he had been honest with me, I would have considered re-booking at the new rate. But I don't like being lied to. Fortunately, I was able to make accommodations with one of their competitors in a nearby town at a fair rate. I'll be avoiding Super 8 in the future.
