Lucky 8 Hotel

The first day, we arrived in the evening. The person, an Indian, at reception told us that the room was not in the main building of the hotel (because it was full) but in another building not far away, a few steps away. This was indeed part of the hotel. So we followed him. It was more than 200m away. My friend and I started to have doubts. The employee of the Lucky 8 hotel brought us to a room in a guesthouse. He disappeared immediately after giving us the keys. When we opened the door, a stifling heat blew in our faces. The room was cramped, dirty. Only a small slot for ventilation, no fan with a temperature of over 40 degrees outside. The room did not match the descriptions at all. I went back to see the same employee to change our room. He said it wasn't possible, this room had been reserved for us since morning. It should be noted that we booked for a 6-night stay. He insisted that we stay in this room the first night and that he would change our room the next day when rooms became available in the main building. Today, according to him, there are no more free rooms here. Very calm, I returned to collect my suitcases in the guesthouse room. With my friend, we returned to the Lucky 8 hotel where we paid for the reservation. My friend was very angry. We needed a room and the employee kept saying there were no more rooms available. My friend had to threaten him with a refund to get him to give us the room we paid for. According to him it's the last room available. This second room corresponded a little more to the photos in the ad. Too tired, we showered and went to bed without delay. The misadventures of this hotel do not stop there. Breakfast is a fairly simple buffet. The room is very poorly ventilated, the air conditioning only worked 2 days out of the 6 days of the stay. The second day, I started to have a few spots on my arms. I didn't attach too much importance to it, but on the third day it was all over my body and it was extremely itchy. My friend and I were stung all over our bodies. The room was infested with ticks. What a horror! We asked to change rooms with supporting photos. The employee gave us another room this time without hesitation. Turns out this room was also infested with these ticks. We will not return to this hotel again. Avoid at all costs. The only positive point is that it is close to a metro station.
