Barceló Illetas Albatros - Adults Only

We have just spent 1 night at this stunning hotel celebrating my wife's birthday. It is an absolute gem. The reception team did everything possible to make my wife's birthday very special and memorable. We booked a partial sea view and was offered the closest room to the sea front to make the most of our room package. The room was spotless and had everything you needed to be very comfortable but after seeing the stunning sea views on offer, we decided to upgrade to a full sea view and it was so worth the extra. Room 402 had a huge comfy bed with the best pillows ever! The bathroom is part of the bedroom with frosted glass doors to the large shower and toilet. I want to point out, the doors are glass but not see through! We didnt feel like our privacy was compromised at all. A coffee machine, with as many pods as you like, was a nice addition. Theres a mini fridge full of drinks but we made space in it for our own water and beer. The room also had some other nice touches, just in case you'd forgotten something! ... Bathrobe and slippers, toothpaste and toothbrush, sewing kit, shoe shine, tissues, hair comb, razor and ear buds! The sun shines on the sea view balcony pretty much morning til evening. If you can stretch your budget, a sea view room really does have a jaw dropping view. We actually left our curtains open at bedtime to make sure we didn't miss the sunrise. We used the pool area for an hour which was very clean but because our visit was during November we didn't get in the pools. Towels are available from the daytime restaurant. We visited the spa for an hour too and enjoyed the hot tub, steam room and sauna. Now to the restaurant..... We had such a great dining experience both evening and breakfast. In the evening, we were greeted by a very friendly member of the team with a miniature jug of sangria. Another nice touch! Seated by the window. The hotel had kindly put a bottle of bubbly and a birthday muffin in our room for my wife. We took the bubbly to the restaurant and enjoyed it with our meal. A Free bottle of water was also brought automatically to our table. We thoroughly enjoyed 6 mini courses of tasty food. Started with a very fresh salad, secondly blue cheese pizza, third course of majorcan soup (chicken with potatoes) then we enjoyed the fresh show cooking of pork kebabs (freshly cooked fish and chicken was also available) followed by course 5 of roast pork (melted in our mouths) with delicious roast potatoes and green vegetables and finished with a trio of ice creams and a chocolate brownie. There was so much more to chose from but we simply couldn't fit it all in. All of the food was beautifully presented and so tasty. Breakfast was just as good.. We tucked into most things in small quantities but the highlights for us were fresh fruit smoothies, an orange press to make your very own fresh orange juice, fresh honeycomb, made to order egg omelettes and pancakes, cava, all varieties of cereals with nuts and dried fruit, fresh

Hotel was clean and room was meeting expectations ! Hotel staff very friendly and helpful ! Overall very nice service by the hotel staff and especially by one of the workers ( Ivonne ) at the blue restaurant next to the pool. Ivonne was so friendly and helpful and always did the little extra for us and she was always smiling and happy. We ate the hotel breakfast during our stay and it was a lot of options at different buffet tables and fruit and vegetables were fresh. Very satisfied with our 5 days stay at this Hotel.

Enjoyable out-of-season break at this lovely hotel at the end of February 2024. The hotel is in the centre of the small town of Illetas but is situated right on the coast with amazing views across the bay towards Palma. There is a bus stop right outside with a regular service into the centre of Palma for only €2. Most of the local shops and bars remain closed until late March/April but there is a local Spar supermarket and the Rose Mallow bar/restaurant over the road is excellent. We had a spacious, light & airy corner junior suite on the 5th floor with views of the sea. Comfortable bed, two sofas and powerful shower with all the amenities. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, especially Vera on the front desk. Service in both the main restaurant and two bars was faultless. Delicious, plentiful and varied breakfast buffet. The only reason for the 4* review was the disappointing state of the spa. As the main pool was closed, we hoped that we would be able to use the spa to relax & enjoy. However, the steps leading down were broken & dangerous. The spa itself was shabby and well overdue for refurbishment. We reported our feedback to the holiday company rep who has escalated it further. Despite the spa, we had a great week and would recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay.

We had our booking cancelled at the Leonardo at three weeks notice before Christmas, and as it turned out we were all pleased because we then had the good fortune to find this lovely place. The breakfast spread is just wonderful, as was our Christmas Eve dinner. The staff are all charming, smiley and so helpful. There are rooms to suit everyone. I must say I would recommend a superior room with sea view terrace. To go to sleep with the sound of the waves and wake up with a glorious sunrise was such a tonic.

This is a very good adults only hotel just 15 mins from Palma. ( The local bus stop is on road outside buses into Palma ran every 15 mins or so all day and evening. ) It is a great location with pool area terrace offering great views up and and down the coast. We stayed B&B so have no feedback on the restaurant. The breakfast buffet options were as expected for this standard of hotel. All the staff we engaged with were helpful and friendly. There is sandy beach a short walk away otherwise there is just a small pebble beach. We stayed in a side sea view room that was clean, comfortable with comfy beds. The room had a very contemporary style that mostly worked except for the sink area. Quite possible a design sacrifice to provide a nice big shower. It was not a major issue but was more about aesthetic design than function that could be improved very simply by extending the rear screen down to counter top so that it could act as a splash back. As it is, water when washing face always spilled into the kettle area.

We’ve been staying here for seven years and absolutely love the place. The location is perfect, the rooms are spacious and stylish and the views are picture perfect. Pool area is a sun trap and never too busy, likewise the private beach. Special mention to Ivonne who works the pool bar; she’s been a friendly face on every visit and nothing is too much trouble.

This is our first visit to this superb hotel, and we made a great choice! Our booking with Jet2 holidays was for a  superior seaview room, we emailed and requested a room on a high floor and hey presto that's exactly what we were allocated - couldn't be happier! Our room on the 5th floor is a delight. It's comfortable, spotlessly clean, well maintained and we lack nothing. The weather has been mixed during our week long stay, so there was never a problem finding a vacant sunlounger - again, very comfortable, well positioned and being off season, so peaceful. The breakfasts are delicious, so much choice, tasty ingredients and expertly prepared - it was so pleasant and relaxing to enjoy our meal while admiring the stunning outside seaview. Top marks to all hotel staff, they are unfailingly helpful, friendly, and courteous. Special mention to the always smiling Xus. Her omelettes are the best! To the two lovelies, Aurora and Nuria, in the restaurant, thanks for brightening our day. Our appreciation to Charro, the lady who meticulously took care of our room. We leave tomorrow with happy memories of the Barceló Albatros Our thanks to all for helping to make our stay so comfortable and enjoyable.

Be warned. Rooms have odd configurations . Bathroom/loo not very private. . No dressing table, which is not good for the ladies especially . Pool nice. Breakfast ok. Facilities fine. Great it’s adults only Location good. Staff very efficient .
