Howard Johnson by Wyndham Incheon Airport

The lady at the front desk who checked me in at night seemed to have a prejudice against Chinese people, full of condescending attitudes and passive-aggressive comments. When I spoke to her in fluent English, her answers were irrelevant. Finally, when she asked me to type in my 'Chinese phone number,' I told her, 'I only have a US phone number,' and her attitude immediately changed to being friendly and welcoming. There was a very suspicious fan in the room. This fan had no switch, and in that black hole in the photo, I found something that *very much* looked like a camera. I poked it inside. The gentleman at check-out had a much better attitude. Anyway, I definitely won't be staying here again. That's all.

This was my third time staying here. This time, I also booked the airport shuttle service for the next morning in advance. However, when I got in the car, no driver or staff member checked my ticket, and the driver didn't ask me which terminal I was going to when we started driving. As a result, we didn't go to T2 first and then T1 as indicated. I had to get off and ask the driver which terminal it was, and only then did I realize it was T1. I told him I needed to go to T2, and the driver was quite rude, saying I wasn't a guest of this hotel and I wasn't his passenger. I showed him my ticket, and he said I should have given it to him before getting in, but no one checked tickets beforehand, and the driver didn't ask me in the car. On the way from T1 to T2, the driver kept muttering and swearing in Korean. His attitude makes me reconsider whether I'll choose this hotel again next time. Poor review. Did the driver see me in the car from the beginning but think I was trying to get a free ride? His behavior is really concerning. There seems to be an issue of discrimination against Chinese people and a lack of proper procedures.

This Howard Johnson and Wyndham Suites share a front desk. It's about 10km from Incheon Airport, and they offer a free one-way shuttle to the airport every morning, though there's no shuttle service from the airport to the hotel. Incheon Train Station is right across the street, and there are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The hotel facilities are pretty basic; the slippers are paper-thin, and the carpet isn't clean enough – it actually felt lumpy underfoot. I couldn't find any complimentary bottled water in the room, nor any disposable toiletries like toothbrushes. On the plus side, it was good to see that the important notices were also in Chinese.

This hotel is okay for a one-night layover in Incheon. It's just two subway stops away, and there are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, which is great for a meal after a long journey. They offer a free shuttle to the airport; you just need to book it the day before at the hotel's self-service machine. The room was clean, but there wasn't much in terms of service.

This hotel is a combination of two, so you'll see a lot of flight attendants and tour groups staying here. It's really close to the subway station, which is convenient. The cleanliness is just so-so, nothing special. There are plenty of food options right downstairs, making everything very accessible. It was also super easy to get to the airport the next morning.

I was assigned a room on the third floor, and the carpet was a bit dirty. The facilities were just so-so. On the second night of my stay, an elderly tour group mistook my door for theirs and knocked, which was quite startling. I opened the door to check their key card and realized they were from the hotel next door. Since both hotels share the same front desk and are in the same building, it's easy to get confused. I'd advise everyone checking in to pay close attention (the front desk on the far left is for Wyndham Days, while the one on the right is for Howard Johnson. If you're still unsure, as shown in picture 2, Howard Johnson's key cards are orange, and Wyndham's are green). On the bright side, it's very, very close to Unseo subway station, and the fried chicken nearby is delicious. Plus, there's a CU convenience store directly across from the hotel downstairs, making transportation super convenient. I'd recommend it as a temporary stay if you're catching a flight. There's also an Olive Young downstairs where you can buy cosmetics.

The hotel is clean and the location is great, with a convenience store and restaurants right downstairs. The staff are professional; when we were checking out, a staff member in the elevator saw us with our luggage and proactively helped us with the checkout process.
