MManxiayeyuruge♡The Zhouzhuang Guyunfeng Inn was incredibly comfortable, cozy, and relaxing. The owner was often found lounging in a deck chair, with a sleeping dog peacefully nestled by his side. The proprietress was exceptionally thoughtful; she went out of her way to help me plan my sightseeing routes, even suggesting clever ways to save money. On a scorching hot day, the owner even helped me mail a package and carry my luggage. Before I left, they kindly gifted me some local Zhouzhuang specialties. My window overlooked the river, and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the aunties on the sculling boats singing their soft, melodic Jiangnan folk tunes. I absolutely loved my stay here and will definitely choose this inn again for my next visit!

The owner was incredibly helpful, proactively reaching out via WeChat to confirm our arrival time and even providing us with local travel tips. The guesthouse's decor is charming and unique, and we were even welcomed with a complimentary fruit platter upon check-in. The environment was spotlessly clean, and the service was truly outstanding. As we had quite a bit of luggage, the owner personally came out to assist us with our bags during both check-in and check-out. It was an incredibly satisfying stay, and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to any friends visiting Suzhou.

GGuest UserWhen my best friend and I visited Zhouzhuang, we considered several guesthouses and ultimately chose Mulan, which is conveniently located near the Shen Hall ticket office. Its location is truly superb; once you're past the entrance, it's right in the heart of the ancient town, making it incredibly easy to get around. They also have an adorable little Corgi and a kitten – so cute! The owner, a lovely young lady, is incredibly friendly and welcoming. She proactively provided directions to the guesthouse beforehand and even met us at the entrance. The guesthouse's small garden is also beautiful and perfect for photos. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Zhouzhuang.

The environment, cleanliness, and facilities are all excellent, and the location is incredibly close to the scenic spots. What truly stands out is the exceptional service from the owner and the young, friendly team at the front desk. Last summer (2024), during a family trip with my child, we loved our stay so much after the first night that we immediately extended it for another. This June, when I arranged a Suzhou-Hangzhou trip for my family, I enthusiastically recommended this place, and they went out of their way to experience it – my family was extremely satisfied! The adorable cats and dogs on site were also an unexpected bonus!

Service is okay, but our room not cleaned on the 2nd day. Decoration of the room is nice.
Water in the showerroom sometimes too hot and suddenly can be too cold, I don't know why.
My room in the 2nd floor (no lift access), so maybe the price is cheaper than the 1st floor room.

CChenThis inn is in such a beautiful location. I only stayed one night, but definitely want to come back and stay longer. The host was warm and friendly. We connected on WeChat the day before and she provide a waypoint for gps when booking a car. She met up with me in the pedestrian street outside of the town’s gate to guide me in and helped with the luggage. The location is very convenient. This is an ancient town so the street surfaces are stone slabs and uneven cobblestones. But going in is mostly smooth, cross one bridge and the inn is right there, about as close to the entrance and as least hassle as you can get. The waterway in front of the inn is travelled by the row boats whether they’re on the day or evening tour route so there’s plenty to people watch from the balcony. Overall a great place, great host, and highly recommended. Little tip, if you can store luggage at the airport or train station, take only what you need for your stay so you don’t have too much luggage to weigh you down for the trek in and out. The balcony rooms are walkup only.

JjonnyWhen i arrive at 7pm, there is no receptionist, this hotel is a self checkin type, but i got lucky that i meet a aunty that help me to contact the receptionist and gave me the room password (the room use a smartdoor with self checkin type)
It is located inside of Tongli ancient town, so if you like a quite place and want to feel to live like a locals, this is a good option

AAnonymous UserThe location was pretty easy to find, and the downstairs area felt okay. However, the air conditioning in the room was genuinely old and inefficient. Even your own staff admitted it, and it took about seven hours of running for the room to finally feel comfortable in the evening. On the floor, the children's playthings were very dirty, but at least the bed was clean. If the AC is that bad, you should at least provide a fan! I was so incredibly hot that I seriously considered checking out; it was only because my child said to 'never mind' that I stayed. You claim to be a chain, and given how sweltering hot the weather is, I believe you should really prioritize making improvements. It's not that staying in a B&B should be like this; there are plenty of good and very clean options available. Ordering takeout was convenient; it could be delivered to the front desk and we'd just go down to pick it up. The front desk service was just average. If the air conditioning isn't improved, we definitely won't be returning, especially not in summer, as we are quite sensitive to heat.

GGallleyaThis is the best hotel we stayed in during our trip to China. We lived in a separate house. It's quiet and cozy there. The air conditioner works well for heating.
The hostess is very friendly and kind. When we got lost during check-in, she herself came for us. Also thanks to the man who helped us when leaving the hotel.
Comfortable bathroom, good beds, spacious room. I highly recommend it!

GGuest UserI stayed here during the Chinese New Year, the average price is about 400 per day. The B&B is an old house with a lot of cultural heritage. Every detail is carefully designed by the owner. People who like traditional Chinese culture can come and experience it. The room types and sizes can be found in Figure 1, and the overall feeling of the hotel can be found in Figure 2. The hotel provides breakfast, see Figure 3. The approximate time is agreed upon the day before, and it is prepared the next day. It is not self-service. If there were not so few restaurants outside during the Chinese New Year, breakfast would not have to be ordered. The downside is that the house is an old house, and the supporting facilities are not as good as modern buildings. One is that the insulation is not good. When it rains in winter, the house is still very cold and damp, and girls may not be able to stand it. The second is sound insulation. The floor is made of wood. When people upstairs walk around, the wood will creak, which affects the rest of people on the first floor.
