GGuest UserThe location is great! Just a 3-minute walk from the exit, you'll find a bus stop/trailhead, which is perfect for those traveling by public transport.
The breakfast was fantastic, I really enjoyed it! It's more on the Chinese side, and all the dishes were delicious. They also had simple salads and toast.
No air conditioning in the room was acceptable (they did mention it upon check-in), and the heater in the bathroom was a nice touch.
However, the hot water was extremely, extremely hot and unstable; I couldn't find a comfortable temperature.
The soundproofing in the room was really poor. Several times, I was startled by the sound of the next-door neighbor opening their wardrobe.
And just a personal preference, I found the pillows to be quite high.

GGuest UserI travelled solo to SML and happened to be in the path of Typhoon Kang Rey. I was glad to be staying here where the Ops Mgr Jiaqi hosted well. She offered me suggestions on what to do or where to go and check on me to make sure I'm well settled in. This place is also relatively new, nice and clean and very well set up. It is situated close to the old street where all food options are available. Also well situated to bus stop and walking trails. I will definitely come back again if I have the chance to.

Although our itinerary was to arrive at the hotel late at night and visit the village the next morning, the thoughtful receptionist called to confirm our arrival. GGuest UserThe views from the window overlooking Puli town and the mountains are incredibly open and expansive. Getting around is easy as there's a bus station right downstairs with routes to Taichung and Sun Moon Lake.
Buses from Taichung to Sun Moon Lake are always packed, but if you go from Taichung to Puli first, and then from Puli to Sun Moon Lake, you'll always get a seat. That's why I chose to stay in Puli for my trip to Sun Moon Lake this time, plus it's cheaper than staying right next to Sun Moon Lake.
It's also not far to walk to Puli Night Market or other eateries in town.
The room was clean and tidy, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall environment was excellent. The soundproofing was great too, I had a really good night's sleep.

GGuest UserGreat location right by the pier, with easy access to restaurants and shops. If you get a lake view room, the sunrise is amazing and the value for money is pretty good. The only downside was that a neighbor on their balcony was smoking, and the smell was hard to avoid. Parking is available at the nearby Zhongxing connected lot, which isn't too far of a walk.

KKellySungThe hotel offers good value for money. Many of the guests stay here with big bus groups. There is an interesting view from the top floor. Rooms are spacious and bathrooms functional. It is important to note that it is quite dated and has some classical decor. It is very well located near many businesses and restaurants. Also nearby is a very practical launderette where you can wash and dry in one cycle. 7 eleven is also nearby. In the hotel you can enjoy breakfast which has plenty of choices for anyone.
Protip: hotel has parking with sirect access to rooms. There are 4 elevators which get busy, look for a small hallway between elevators to find another much less used elevator for speed.

TTu124The sunmoon location offers a few options for budget tourists on the car. This option provides parking, free, normal large, it is just outside the hotel on the street.
There is a smoke room in the hotel, it is not necessary to go down every time.
On the first floor a good restaurant

The hotel itself is tired of course but you get what you paid)))
The only thing: make the cleaning of the chairs all such.. And better replace the pillows for artificial skin)

GGuest UserThe hotel is considerably cheaper than others in the area with similar-looking rooms and it is brilliantly-located right at the lakefront and only 2 minutes away from the bus terminal.
The staff is very friendly and you even get a discount voucher for the nearby bike rental.
I booked a room without a window and got one with two windows which is absolutely appreciated. I even had a very large bathroom with a gorgeous and huge bathtub which was an unexpected luxury.
Overall the room is clean and comfortable. The AC works perfectly, the bed is comfortable enough for a few days, and the the linen and towels were fresh.
The interior is dated which didn't bother me me much because it was still as clean as dated interior can get and therefore definitely clean enough for me and for most travellers. I actually kinda liked the old charme.
The walls are thin, though it doesn't matter so much because there aren't many rooms per floor.
The breakfast was surprisingly nice and located in another hotel right at the lakefront so that you have stunning views!
