The Walker Ford Cabin sits on two acres right on the banks of the upper Meramec River. Enjoy panoramic views of the river and the bottom hay fields. There is a beautiful rock fireplace, kitchenette, a queen size bed, queen pull out sofa and a dining table in the main cabin. The back sitting area has beautiful river views along with a twin sleeper sofa. The only thing you need when you come to our cabin is food, charcoal (if needed) and toiletries. The kitchen is fully stocked with what you may need to cook a meal and the linens and towels are also provided. There are several wineries and a canoe/raft outfitter within a mile away or bring your own canoe or kayak and float from our local access Birds Nest right down to your cabin. Once your at the parking lot a hike down what locals refer to as "cardiac hill" provides fishing access to the heart of the renowned Meramec River Red Ribbon Trout Fishing area, this is a gated conservation road leading to the Meramec river and is about 1/2 mile long hill, going down is a breeze coming up takes some cardio!
