We understand not all guests are accustomed to gravel and/or mountain driveways. Please know that small cars (ie. Prius and similar) have no issue with the driveway under normal weather conditions. There is a widened shoulder and parking area halfway up the driveway should there be inclement weather or you for any reason feel more comfortable parking “down the hill.”PRIVACY: The property is innately very serene located on it's own private ridge-top . Please respect this serenity and privacy for the neighbors living on adjacent ridge-tops and maintain respectful noise levels; especially at night.*Please note the property is situated close to a flowing rocky river and is located on mountainous terrain with some steep slopes. Please ensure your party is comfortable swimming/wading and any recreational water activities you plan to engage in and appropriately fit and prepared for hiking any rugged terrain or this property may not be a good fit for your needs.Guest accessGuests have access to the entire property to include the whole north end of the ridge-top, ongoing trail system network, and trail/driveway access down to Walnut Island River Park. Please use common sense if any forestry/conservation or other construction/improvements work is being conducted around the property and allow contractors appropriate space for your safety. No work will be ongoing in the immediate vicinity of Foxy French Chalet during your stay. Our team is committed to the expansion of this restoration and habitat conservation program and there are future plans to expand both the forestry/habitat management as well as additional lodging experiences so check back in for future offerings for larger groups!Other things to notePlease remember this is a home; not a hotel. The house is stocked with supplies as advertised but if you anticipate spending substantial time at the house or staying for several days, you will need to bring supplies the same as any vacation rental. The host is available for issues as needed and 100% committed to your party enjoying a 5-star experience but if you are accustomed to a hotel concierge-style culture responding to cursory impulsive needs, this property may not be a good fit for you.The property includes a dedicated creativity nook for the remote worker or artist seeking to balance vacation with work time. This space is in the second bedroom and can be closed off from the remainder of the chalet fo

MONTHLY RENTALS GET 25% DISCOUNT!!!!WE ACCEPT SAME DAY BOOKINGS, JUST CONTACT US. Sitting on top of a small mountain just outside of Asheville, NC is what we like to call our Mountain House. Very easy to get to, just a 30 second drive up the driveway and you are there. It's only five minutes to shopping and eating in historic Weaverville where you can enjoy strolling down old time main street. While you're there, maybe check out the local wine room, grab some pizza and listen to some live music or check out the local fly fishing shop. And if you want to really step out and hit the 'big city', the house is only a fifteen minute drive to downtown Asheville . There you can shop, tour the Biltmore Estate, go to a museum, eat at amazing restaurant, see live music, check out an art gallery... tons to do and see!! We love spending time here and am pretty sure you will too. While at the house you will find amazing 270 degree views where you can see the blue ridge mountains and in the distance maybe even the Smokies. From the huge deck you can enjoy some of the best sunsets you may ever witness. Spending time at the house is great: you can just relax and take in the scenery while reading a book and having a glass of wine or sit under a tree and have a local Asheville craft brew or just hang out in the hammock...It's an easy, peaceful day. If you want to stay at home for dinner, my personal favorite place to cook is on the outdoor grill. Grill up your dinner while enjoying the slow sunset and then enjoy eating outside at the picnic table. Then it's time to sit around the fire pit and roast marshmallows and make S'mores. The house has almost 2 acres of land so you have plenty of privacy and a large part of the land is level. (Here in the mountains it is extremely rare to get flat land and great views, but we got both.) Feel free to play some basketball while listening the big stereo. We also have ping pong and cornhole and some board games as well. MAIN LIVING AREA:On the main level you will find a huge master with an ensuite bathroom and a walk in shower and jetted tub. There is a private toilet room, double vanity and walk in closet. The master bedroom also has it's own private door to the huge deck. The main living area has an open floor plan with a kitchen, dining room, fireplace (gas) and a beautiful living room with 16 ft high vaulted ceilings. There is a large screen TV in the living room with Direct TV. Down the hall is a fully equipped laundry room, and 2 more bedrooms, each with a trundle bed that share a common bathroom. There are decks off both sides of the house and great views out of almost every window.
