My husband and I purchased this house in 2015 and have completely restored it. Built in 1915 this house served as a collection point for visitors traveling to Cynthinia KY. Our goal in renovating this house was to keep it as original as possible. The mantel, stairs, and the floors are original while everything else is in the house is new. The house is located close to Downtown Williamstown and less then 1.7 miles to the Ark. My husband and I live 3 houses down would love to come and meet you.My dad is the Mayor of Williamstown and has worked with the Ark Encounter through its construction and opening phases. They strive to make sure everything is clean and comfortable. They go above and beyond to make your trip special. With TWO very special/ocd ladies doing the cleaning you can rest assured you will not find a cleaner place.*** If you are not able to walk steps you can get to the basement by walking through the yard (is down a slight hill)The entire home is yours! Feel free to cook your favorite meal, sit back and relax watching your favorite Netflix show, enjoy some family time playing board games, watch the beautiful Kentucky Sunset on the back patio. The gravel driveway is able to fit two cars with off road parking available. Peaceful, quiet and serene is the best way to describe Waterworks. A clean comfy home awaits you with many amenities. Less than five minutes away from the incredible Ark Encounter, just a short walk to JB Miller Park a great fishing lake and less than a mile to the new Williamstown “Splash Park”. The larger Williamstown lake is also nearby for boating and fishing. If you’re headed to the Ark you might also be interested in seeing the Creation Museum which they have a package deal for and is about 35 minutes north of here. Welcome to the lake! Enjoy your coffee on the deck and take in the view. Spend your time soaking up the sun, swimming, fishing, grilling out, etc. Cap off your night by roasting marshmallows in the firepit or fire table. It is a short drive to The Ark Encounter. House sleeps 12 comfortably. Note: This property is on a private gravel drive. The driveway is a bit steep. This quaint country cottage is nestled on a beautiful 300 acre farm in Williamstown, KY. The Ark Encounter is less than 10 minutes away, we are 45 minutes from The Creation Museum. The cottage is located in what is referred to as The Golden Triangle since we are right between Lexington and Cincinnati and very close to Louisville. Just minutes of I-75 you have quick access to the interstate in order to travel to other surrounding cities. Downtown Williamstown is growing quickly and there are several antique shops that you can visit during your stay.
