"Traveling with family, the guesthouse is located not far from the main gate of the village, which is also the starting point for exploring the village. It's especially beautiful at night when the lights are on. Outside the village gate is a square, and you can even watch performances from the guesthouse upstairs, perfect if you want to avoid the crowds. There's a small river in front, and the flowers in the courtyard are exceptionally vibrant. The owner also has an adorable 8-month-old dog. The room itself is clean and tidy, and the owner is incredibly kind, offering tips on what to do and recommending great food. We had a wonderful trip overall."

"This hotel is perfectly situated on a hillside in the heart of the village, offering convenient access and excellent views. The service is incredibly attentive, with seamless arrangements for transfers to and from the scenic area entrance. Every staff member is genuinely warm and welcoming, making you feel right at home. Breakfast is prepared with great care, and they even sent us off with a small gift and drinks for our journey. What truly stands out is that every evening, the guesthouse hosts 4-5 incredibly talented artists performing Dong Grand Songs. Listening to them up close is a truly enchanting experience, like celestial music, and a wonderful artistic treat. This performance significantly enhanced our stay."

"This guesthouse is stunning and amazing at the same time. I work in the tourism field and I have never seen such an amazing and accurated caring for guests. The host and his wife are the nicest persons ever met in my life. Knowledgable in everything, excellent professional hosts who know how to make your trip an amazing and successful trip. Rooms are clean, spacious, with all the amenities a guest needs with a really good sense for the design. At the ground floor they have such a nice space for all guests where people can relax themselves by reading, drinking a good cup of local tea or coffe and simply facing the mesmerising view of the Dong Village and experiencing an indoor campfire. We had a wonderful night around the fire with some new Chinese friends and the host too. We sang all together and there was no language barrier which could stop us. We had such a wonderful moment. One of the best in my life. Breakfast is speechless. Something extremely good with lots of varieties of food. They know how to accomodate every single request. This place is a AAAAA place. Thanks for all the beautiful memories you gave us."

"I loved this place so much that I stayed 5 nights. Yang the owner speaks perfect English. I rang the day before and he was waiting at the train station with my name on a sign. He helped me organise the entrance fee. Mine was free as I'm 73 years old, even though I am a foreigner. I am travelling on my own from New Zealand. The train station pick up was free and very useful. If you take the bus it's a long way from the ticket office and bus stop into the village. Yang then transferred me into his smaller vehicle to go up the little lane to the hotel. The hotel is 5 minutes walk into the village and has a great view of the village.. It is quiet as it's a little bit away from the busy centre. The room was perfect. Everything new and very clean. And no smells. The bed was extremely comfortable with good quality bedding. I used the washing machine in the room to wash my clothes. There was tea and coffee provided. Yang took me on a full day trip to see some other local villages that have no tourists. We walked around the villages together. It was fantastic to have an English guide to explain everything. We saw people making rice wine, making indigo dye, building a house using traditional techniques. We saw a fighting buffalo. Yang chatted to the people and explained what they were doing. This was the best time I have had in China. He was a good careful driver. The breakfast was huge! So many dishes, including fruit. Yang was always available to help me with any questions and we had good talks every morning when he helped me plan my activities."

"The room was spacious and clean, with a window offering a view outside and a place to dry clothes. The owners were very kind; the landlady helped us with our luggage and gave us detailed directions on good restaurants, directions to the village, and show times. The room was large and clean, and they provided many amenities not found in other hotels, such as mosquito repellent and disposable face towels. There was also free fruit downstairs, including plums, which was quite delicious. The owners even let us try their wines—a variety to sample. The owners were incredibly kind, providing transportation to and from the hotel and even taking us to the high-speed rail station. Their prices were very reasonable; after comparing several hotels, this was the best. You can also have a barbecue at the owners' place; they cooked some dishes and we ate and drank together. The landlady's grilled chicken wings were delicious and fragrant, even better than barbecue in Shenzhen. The bed was very comfortable and soft. I highly recommend this mountain view room; it's excellent."

"Nice room and nice view from our hotel room which was one of the highest point from Zhao Xing Dong Village. The hotel provided free pick up service at nearby Cong Jiang HSR station and also sent us there to continue our Chong Qing trip via HSR. The breakfast was good and they provided Latte for us besides Chinese Tea We needed to pay RMB80 each for our entrance fees in Dong Village. There was one welcome tribe show which was free and also a complimentary singing teaching session by the Dong tribe."

"The room was very nice and spacious, with good lighting and large windows. The facilities were complete, the air conditioning was powerful, the room was clean, the toilet was clean, and all disposable toiletries were complete. The owner was warm and hospitable and patient. He provided shuttle service to and from the scenic area multiple times. When I contacted him, he responded promptly and was always online. He gave us discounted tickets for the bonfire party and even chatted with us in the evening while we drank local glutinous rice wine. There's also a restaurant downstairs, which is very convenient. I'll be back next time!"

"It's really the right choice to come to Zhaoxing Dongzhai to choose Jianshan B&B! The smart room in the whole house has a high value, and the living is particularly comfortable and clean. The boss and staff are very hospitable and the service is very intimate. Staying at the complimentary afternoon tea, breakfast tastes superb, and free high-speed rail transfer, no need to worry about travel. The location of the homestay is excellent, very close to the main street of Dongzhai, it is super convenient to visit the Drum Tower and see the scenery of Dongzhai. The environment is quiet and comfortable. Next time you come to Zhaoxing, you will definitely book this one. It is highly recommended!"

"My wife and I drove from Nanning, Guangxi. There was a parking lot right at the entrance of the village. The village isn't big, and the owner picked us up and dropped us off. The room was fantastic, just like the photos on our booking—brand new, clean, bright, spacious, and conveniently located on the main road, yet still quiet despite being in a bustling area. The rooftop viewing platform offered a panoramic view of most of the Dong village. I must especially mention the owners; they are locals and enthusiastically introduced us to the village's development, their children's return to start businesses, Dong customs, drum tower culture, and traditional folk songs. The owner's wife was very cheerful, and her face radiated pride and joy whenever she spoke of their ethnic culture. Today is the Dong Grain Rain Festival, and the area is very lively. We hope that the traditional and unique folk customs of ethnic minorities will continue to thrive year after year! If the owners ever see this, I hope you also receive blessings from friends in Nanning!"

"The host is very friendly. Any assistance on trips and places to visit just approach the host and she will be able to provide suggestion. The room is clean and I like the warm aircond during the winter hahaha it really keeps me warm. The view from the room is superb. A place to slow down in pace and enjoy the culture and lifestyle. Logistics to the inn is in ease with the host assistance. Thank you for having us."
