"Room was full of dust, bathroom had mold on the grouting, air contioning/ heating was broke, shower gel and shampoo watered down to almost just water, had a function on but sounded like the party was In our room even though it was 2 floors down, neighbouring room could hear them talking and getting intimate. Room was tin pot small and freezing cold...was so disappointed as stayed there previously for a lot less than i paid this time and the room was spacious and clean, so feeling extremely let down this time and hubby has refused to ever come back to this hotel."

"This is the 2ed time staying here for 2 nights the price is ok the room is clean you get free tea and coffee in your room the breakfast is good value for money I believe it’s 15 pounds per person there is lots of fresh fruit cereal, a cooked breakfast as much tea and coffee as you like we didn’t go into the park this time as I have been in the wildlife Park before with my daughter this time we were visiting family the wildlife Park is amazing the staff at the Hex Hotel are super friendly . And professional. The only thing I would say negative about the hotel is checking after 4 pm. And you have to be out of the room by 10 am. I think check-in should be from 2 pm then that gives you a little bit longer in the room and maybe check out 11 am but apart from that I can’t fault this place but if you want to do an earlier check-in, they charge you £30. And if you want to upgrade your room, they charge you £15 per night to upgrade. . The shower is absolutely amazing. You have a rain shower and a smaller shower. You get two massive bath towels, two hand towels also shower gel body cream soap. That are individually. I will definitely be coming back and staying again. A short taxi ride into Doncaster town Centre where there is lots of bars that play music if you’re into that there’s also a designer outlet not far from the hex hotel. ."

"Spartan room. Everything you need, nothing more. Double bed was small, fine for a solo traveller. Breakfast cheap and limited. Good value. Staff friendly and helpful. A 20 minute walk from the town centre."

"Good facilities. The Kids at the hotel were running around the until 1am in the morning, we were woken up several times during the night. Kids screaming and running along the corridor was very disturbing, we reported it to the reception, but there was no improvement. I wouldnt recommend it if you have an early start."

"Overall nice hotel, good sized room, nice and modern. Big comfortable bed. Only faults was there was a load of ladybirds in the bathroom, looks like there was some form of infestation. Only noticed this in the morning and reported it to the front desk when checked out. The bathroom door is also frosted with the window leaking through so was quite bright in the morning, think this might have just been my room though with it being on the end. It was great location for a wedding I attended at Hooton Pagnall Hall - only 10 mins away so great location for what I needed. Staff were friendly. Would recommend"

"Very noisy at night. I had to go and purchase some ear plugs for second night due to only having a few hours sleep previous night from the noise. Plenty of teabags and milk provided but no spoons! Bedside light had no bulb in so had to have big light on. TV in room had poor signal so every station jumps. Bathroom door needs cleaning and overall room needs some updating"

"Hotel was busy with a very loud wedding. My room was starting to look and feel dated. Was outstanding 8 years ago. now less than average. I feel a modernisation plan would help. biggest gripe was breakfast stopped at 10am on a Sunday. we went down at 09.30 and they where starting to clear away. I personally think 10.30 or 11am would be more customer focused on a weekend. However check out time is 11am. again too early. Just my thoughts."

"The receptionists were lovely, very friendly & helpful. The room was a good size & the bed was really comfortable. There was only one bath & hand towel but an extra set was brought up straight away. The only negatives for me was the window was a solid pane so didn't open but the air con wasn't cool enough, and the pillows were uncomfortable."
