"We stayed at Skarungen in a small but comfortable room with a beautiful fjord view. The room was simple yet cosy, and waking up to the sight of the mountains and water felt very special. Although we didn’t get to see the aurora during our visit, Skarungen’s peaceful setting by the fjord made it a relaxing and memorable stop in Lofoten."

"I extended my stay by one night. **Room:** For the first night, I was in a duplex room where the upstairs and downstairs shared a living room and kitchen. On the second night, I moved to a one-bedroom suite complete with a living room and kitchen. **Cleanliness:** Good. **Breakfast:** Plentiful. **Facilities:** The room for my first night was on the ground floor, which was convenient. However, my room for the second night was on the third floor with no elevator, making it quite a struggle with large luggage. The upside was a balcony with a fantastic view!"

"The most favorite and satisfied hotel in the Lofoten Islands. The hall is full of floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides. When you turn off the lights and lie on the sofa at night, you can see the aurora. At night, all the curtains in the bedroom are opened with the stars to sleep, and you don’t want to leave. In addition, the small beauty at the front desk will speak very fluent Chinese, which is a big surprise! In short, super satisfied."

"I stayed at Svinøya Rorbuer recently, and honestly, it was such a beautiful experience. Our cabin had the perfect view for catching the northern lights — we literally just looked out of the window and there they were, dancing above us. Pure magic. The cabin itself was spotless and felt really cosy. One of the heaters wasn’t working at first, but the team came over and sorted it immediately, which I really appreciated. Fast, friendly service makes all the difference, especially in the cold! Overall, a lovely stay. I’d happily go back in a heartbeat."

"Die Unterkunft liegt etwas vom Hotel entfernt. Anmeldung und Frühstück erfolgt im Hotel (nicht in der Unterkunft) ist aber fußläufig schnell und einfach erreichbar. Das Zimmer ist einfach ausgestattet, die Betten sind schmal. Der Gemeinschaftsraum ist toll, bietet viel Platz, falls man zu mehreren dort ist und es gibt einen tollen Ausblick Das Hotel bietet ein gutes Restaurant mit leicht gehobenen Preisen und guter Qualität Wir konnten umsonst parken, es sind aber nicht all zu viele kostenlose Parkplätze vorhanden"

"I booked a double room and messaged the hotel beforehand to ask about rooms where the toilet is inside the shower. They said they'd make a note, so I specifically requested a room where the toilet was *outside* the shower. When I arrived, it felt like opening a mystery box because they gave us a room where the toilet was *inside* the shower! The bathroom isn't big, so showering in such a small space was quite cramped. All I can say is, it was quite something! Aside from that, in terms of value for money, the location is excellent; there's a Tesla charging station right across the street. Although the room is small, it has everything you need and is incredibly clean. The breakfast provided was fantastic, I loved it so much I probably had 4 cups of coffee. Also, for those who want to cook for themselves, the hotel has a communal kitchen, which saved us money on eating out and allowed us to have a lovely dinner."

"Absolutely loved this hotel! The surroundings are incredibly photogenic, and the aurora often appears right on the mountain top across from the hotel. I even asked the front desk for aurora viewing recommendations, and they suggested a small church hill and by the pier. But honestly, you can just watch it from right outside the hotel. Otherwise, you'd have to head towards the city outskirts, and the two places they recommended weren't great, especially the small church – it was too cluttered with trees and rooftops. Plus, the hotel's lobby offers free 24-hour hot water, tea, and coffee, which is a huge bonus! I'm not sure if my room got an upgrade, but it felt much larger than I expected. The hotel has two floors, and the only downside is no elevator. So, it's best to pack your luggage strategically. If you're on the second floor, just take a few essentials up, and you can store your suitcase at the front desk. Of course, when checking in, if you're on the second floor, a staff member will help you with your bags, but you'll have to carry them down yourself when checking out. The hotel is about 600 meters from the pier and several large supermarkets, making shopping and getting around convenient. The parking lot is also spacious. All in all, fantastic value for money! "This hotel is much larger than the one I stayed at in Oslo. When I arrived in the evening, there was a long line for check-in, but it moved quickly. The room was comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. The view from the hotel window, as shown in the picture, was also fantastic."

While it was sufficient for a quick meal, it may not meet the expectations of guests looking for a more extensive breakfast spread. In terms of location, the hotel is more suitable for travellers who are self-driving, as it is easier to access by car. Those relying on public transport may find it less convenient. Overall, the stay was manageable, but there are a few aspects that could be improved to enhance guest comfort and convenience."
