Kettle Moraine Long Lake Vacation Get Away. Comfort begins as you enter the door to your lake frontage studio style vacation home. Take in the view of boaters and wildlife enjoying the waters from either the inside living room or out on the deck. Stepping out to the beach area where you will be able to catch some sun, play some games in the sand or get into the water with some of the water toys we have to use. Maybe do some fishing from the pier and don’t worry if you didn’t bring a pole, we have enough here for all to use. Grab some smore goodies and start a bonfire or simply star gaze while sharing many stories. Parking available right by your entrance door and the code to enter will be sent to you the day before your arrival. Getting out on the water; taking in all you can while vacationing on Long Lakes 2 mile of water with 2 separate Kettle Morian beaches, great fishing, skiing, swimming or simply floating around on a tube. Bring your boat and dock it on our pier which is in view sight from your deck. Enjoying the convenience of waking up and jumping in your boat to get the morning bits. No boat, no problem. We have a rowboat and a canoe for all to use. We have plenty of fishing poles and life jackets for all sizes. Fishing license can be bought online and a good variety of bait available up the road at the local gas station. In the winter months ice skating, ice fishing, making snowmen, jump on the trails with your snow mobiles right from the front yard. Only 15 minutes away is Sunburst Ski & Tubing with awesome hills to concur. While exploring our small town with an up north friendly atmosphere (You could start your morning with some delicious coffee and a healthy breakfast at 3 Sweets Bakery and for lunch visit our well know Hamburger Haus, and don't forget to save room for some ice cream. Save some time to visit our Dundee Mill and a short walk around our 3 free for children fishing ponds. Road House, Mc Juggers and Camp Dundee are well known places for their spirits and good food. We have 1 gas station with the basic small station snacks & beverages, also a verity of fishing bait. May – October, every Sunday we have our local farmer’s market. If you are unable to make it on Sunday, ever Thursday’s, only 15 minutes away, in Kewaskum has their farmer’s market 4pm-7pm. Being in the Kettle Morian State Forest there are more than 100 miles of mountain biking, horseback riding, hiking, nature trails and hunting. Bring your ATVs or snow mobile and enjoy 40 plus miles of riding. Going from small town to small town finding many adventures along the way. Centrally located around West Bend, Fond Du lac, Elkhart Lake and Kohler where many events are held. Soak up the sun at this unique lake cabin built in 1854. With a tiki bar on the lake, you'll really feel like you're on vacation. Nestled within the Kettle Moraine Forest, you'll find the perfect balance of nature & relaxation.Sip wine as the sun sets over the lake. Listen to the crackling fire under a sky full of stars.With year-round activities like hiking, kayaking, hunting, & ice-fishing, you'll never run out of things to do.This home is an experience in itself, as it was built before Abe Lincoln was president. The original cabin was once home to a family with 15 children! As the first home in the area, the owner owned all the surrounding land, which was purchased at the price of $300. Stepping into this unique home is like stepping back in time. After many additions and renovations, this humble cabin has grown into the perfect place to comfortably host a big group. There are 3 living areas, 2 kitchens, 7 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, and a small children’s play room. Outdoors, the home features 3 patios and a small yard in the front of the house with lakefront and sunset views. The large shady maple trees make the outdoor dining area the perfect spot for a lakeside meal. The patio outside the main kitchen is a guest favorite. Many people have commented on its peaceful charm. It’s a good spot for a warm cup of coffee in the morning and a quiet conversation. The lake views are inspiring. Across the gravel driveway, there is a large grassy area with a fire pit. It’s a great place for throwing a football or a game of frisbee. As the sun sets over the lake, it’s time to grab the marshmallows for some s’mores by the crackling fire. The starry sky will wow you. Just across the road, you’ll find a fishing pier and dock. You will have these all to yourself. You can fish right from the dock. Our lake has a few weeds here and there, but we try to keep it clear by the dock. You can swim and float the day away. Smooth rocks cover the lake floor by the dock. Near the dock, the water ranges from about 2 to 4 1/2 feet deep. The water is very clear, and you can usually see lots of little fish that LOVE to be fed bits of bread. You’ll see a very special cabin nestled on the northeast side of the property, back behind the lake house. Also from the 1800’s, Fraser Fir Log Cabin is a separate short-term rental we have and it sleeps 6. You will share a parking area with the guests who stay there. Our parking area is vast and you should have no concern about having enough room for your vehicles. If you plan to use the EV charger, please let us know in advance. Between the lake house and cabin is a rustic shed FULL of kayaks, life jackets, a lily pad, fishing poles, & lawn games. You have full access to it, and we ask that you replace everything you use with thoughtful care. Near the shed you’ll find a charming play area prefect for children under 5 years.This shed is accessible to our guests staying at Fraser Fir Log Cabin, as well.Our guests love the famous Tiki Bar at Kettle Moraine Lake. It’s just a short kayak ride (or walk) away. There, you’ll find a fun beach experience. Sink your toes in the sand with a margarita in your hand. There are outdoor games for the kids, live bands on weekends, beach volleyball, and a sandy sloped beach for swimming. With several great restaurants, bars, and a cute coffee shop only 1.5 miles away, what more could you want? Also within a few miles- a grocery store, a nice bowling alley, the weekly farmer’s market, the summer ice-cream & burger stand, gas stations that sell live bait, a winery, and a supper club. Walk across the road to find your very own private pier on Kettle Moraine Lake, with the most perfect sunset views. You can fish right from the pier. Our lake has a few weeds here and there, but we try to keep it clear by the pier, so grab a float and soak up some sun. You’ll see little fish through the crystal clear water, begging for bits of bread. The water near the pier ranges from 2-4 feet deep, and is lined with smooth rocks. Wake up refreshed and drink your coffee on the front porch while listening to the birds sing. Expect to see wildlife here. From turtles to cranes, Kettle Morraine is a wonderful place to catch a glimpse of all the forest has to offer. Fraser Fir log cabin is nestled at the back of our lake house property. Juniper & Oak Lake House is another rental property we own. Also from the 1800’s, it is a very special place worth checking out, if you’re ever looking to host a large group (sleeps 15).
