After a lifetime of tearing down old barns and cabins it was time to put some of the reclaimed wood to good use. The oak logs were all reclaimed from standing dead timber right here on the property. The ceilings throughout the cabin are made from reclaimed beetle kill ash trees harvested just across the river. The flooring is made from 100+ year old reclaimed heart pine. All of the trim work in the cabin is reclaimed barn wood salvaged from local barns that we have dismantled through the years.Fishing in this area is a big attraction so bring your fishing poles and get lost in the beauty of the western North Carolina mountains.
