Our ocean front unit, located on the third floor overlooks the grounds Lush Tropical Garden as well as the Crystal Blue Waters of Maalaea Bay. You can Whale watch from our Lanai during the winter months when the humpback whales bring their young to the protected waters of Maalaea Bay. Its a sight you will never forget and look forward to seeing for years to come. Another wonderful sight from our lanai is watching the Cattamarans sailing by in the early evenings as the glow of the Maui sunset with its beautiful orange and purple hues cover the sky...as you sit on your Lanai sipping a cool drink and nibbeling on PuPu's (what the natives call snacks) and basking that after glow of it all , that my friend is when you'll know you are vacationing in Paradise!Miles of white sand that run in either direction. Snorkeling is wonderful too. With yellow and brilliant blue fish swimming along side you in the coral and rockier area of the water to the right once you've stepped onto the sand. Our guest have access to our outdoor Shower as you come and go to the beach. Our colbolt blue tiled swimming pool is complete with a waterfall and is located next to our new double commercial grade gas BBQ's with wrap around counters. We also have a dinning area for though who prefer to enjoy their meals outside and it's a fun way to meet your fellow renters as you enjoy the sunset and your meals. Were a five minute walk to the Maalaea Boat Harbor where you can book many water excursions, Snorkeling trips to Molokai, Sunset Dinner Cruises as well as dine at the Harbor many Fine & Casual Restaurants and Tourist Shops. Maalaea village is a gem with its central location and its fantastic trade winds. They provide a cooling breeze that keeps the temperatures just right. Just in case the cross breeze in the unit isn't enough for you, we have a newly installed split A/C (as of February 2020) in the living room, downstairs bedroom and upstairs loft bedroom. There are ceiling fans in the master and loft bedroom and a floor fan in the second bedroom. Please note that the second bedroom upstairs does not have any windows. It also has low, slanted ceilings, making it best suited for a children's room.From the lanai, gaze out and watch the sun rise over Haleakala. Watch green sea turtles bobbing up for air and rolling in the surf. In the winter months (Nov-April) you will have a front row seat to breaching whales.Beautifully landscaped grounds with a heated pool. Slip into the pool and enjoy the ocean view while you relax in the Maui sun.The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and is fully equipped with cooking utensils, pots, pans, blender and all of the other basic supplies to comfortably enjoy cooking and eating in. Description of CondoOur beautifully decorated one bedroom/one bath oceanfront condominium is at Maalaea Kai in beautiful Maalaea Maui. We are always working to keep our condo updated and as nice as we can. In 2017, we installed beautiful bamboo flooring in the living room, kitchen, and hallway. In 2019, we installed new carpet in the bedroom.The entire condo is air conditioned! Our unit differs from most condominiums in Maui in that the building is on a cul-de-sac so there is little vehicular traffic. Also, unlike most condos, you can hear the ocean from the bedroom as well as the living room. Because we are a corner unit, our bedroom has windows on two walls and one of them faces the ocean! We are also unique in that our plush bed and bedding are of the highest quality we could buy. You will think you're staying at a 5 Star hotel!*Please note that until about early December, our building is being painted. The lanais have all been done, so our beautiful views of the ocean are not being affected. You may see some scaffolding around the building and hear some noise from a generator or power washing. But it shouldn’t be for long durations. The painting is looking really beautiful.Living RoomOur building is designed in a way that some of the condos, while not being end units, are still corner units, which we like because the bedroom and the living room have windows on two sides. Being a corner unit, there is a side window, in addition to the sliding glass door, that gives you more light and airflow. The living room has new bamboo floors, a sleeper sofa, which sleeps two, and a love seat. (Knowing that sleeper sofas aren't as comfortable as regular beds, we have a memory foam topper to put on top of the mattress so its nice and comfy.) There is a dining table with four chairs. Our entertainment system includes a 40' flat screen TV, a DVD/Blu-ray player, and a CD player. You can also connect your iPhone to play your own music. We have a large selection of movies on DVD. We have free wifi and free long distance to the U.S. mainland and Canada.BedroomOur bedroom has new plush carpeting, designer drapes, and a king-size bed (two extra-long twins connected together in a king-size frame so you are less apt to feel your companion moving in the middle of the night). We are very particular about the bed we sleep in and our comfort is as important to us as it is to you. Our mattresses are Simmons Beautyrest Euro Plush Pillowtops. You will love them! We also have a 4” gel memory foam topper and a mattress pad on top of the mattresses. The sheets are buttery soft and two of the four king pillows are 100% down and two are very soft poly-fill for those who are allergic to down. We bought the best pillows we could find! The designer duvet is elegant and soft. You will be in total comfort while falling asleep to the blissful sound of the ocean! KitchenOur kitchen has a new stove/cook-top and microwave and is fully stocked with everything you could want, including beautiful Hawaiian china, wine glasses, a blender, a toaster, an oven, a refrigerator, a rice cooker, a crockpot, and all the pots and pans you would need. BathroomThe bathroom has a nice tub/shower combination. We put in a new mosaic tile floor and a beautiful new vanity and matching mirror.
