"Our expectations were blown out of the water by The Carter Inn. Hospitality could not have been more extraordinary. Greeted with welcoming smiles and warm cookies, everything was readied for our stay. Rooms were super clean and not in the coldly sterile way, but tidy and spotless. Room had a microwave and a small fride... with complimentary chocolates! Towels were fluffy and thick; robes and slippers were hanging ready to use. Herbal soap was handmade by a local entrepreneur. Sheets were buttery soft, and the mattresses were an ideal firmness. We slept soundly, the minute our heads hit the pillow. Breakfast was a full spread, with something for everyone's taste... with a loaf of homemade bread. Yard was set up with a picnic table, badminton set, and other outdoor games. Price was VERY reasonable. Hosts were especially thoughtful, gracious, and charming. What a gem of a place. Only wish we could have stayed longer."
