The primary suite offers a private sanctuary with its own en-suite bathroom, complete with soaking tub and stand-up shower, ensuring a comfortable and relaxing stay. Each room is thoughtfully designed according to local culture to provide both comfort and style, creating an inviting atmosphere for all.Step into either of the 2 living rooms where you'll be greeted by a cozy gas fireplace in each space and ample seating for everyone to gather around after a thrilling day on the slopes. Watch the snow fall on the mountainside while you gaze out the large windows as the fire roars. The fully equipped kitchen is complete with modern appliances and plenty of space to prepare delicious meals. The dining area boasts a large table for your entire group. And don't forget to unwind in the evening on the large deck, where you can take in breathtaking mountain views and fresh alpine air. Whether you're a seasoned skier or a first-timer, the slopes here offer a variety of runs suitable for all skill levels. And during the warmer months, the area transforms into a haven for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts, with numerous trails weaving through the stunning natural landscapes (including The Long Trail). There’s even a championship golf course for the avid golfers in your group. You’ll have access to our community recreation space in Alpine Haven as well. The pool is a short walk, as is the sand volleyball court, tennis court, and disc golf course. Our neighborhood even maintains hiking trails of our own, that you are welcome to enjoy. If you're traveling with the family, you're in luck! The area hosts a range of family-friendly events year-round, from seasonal festivals and live music to outdoor movie nights. Luckily our chalet is only ¼ mile from the entrance of the neighborhood.En-suite tub – Currently the jacuzzi jets are not on, but feel free to use it as a soaking tub.We have Ladybugs! The Northeast Kingdom of VT has tons of Ladybugs, we apologize for the inconvenience, the cleaners do there best to stay on top of them and we have a vacuum available to guests to get rid of them.Local Attractions: Skiing at Jay Peak is obviously the biggest draw to the area, with its true to life reputation for the “most snow in eastern North America” and 81 trails, but did you know that Jay Peak also offers a year-round indoor waterpark? After a long day of hiking, biking, or skiing, come take a swing at our charming historical cottage. Dating back to the mid 1800s it was one of the first schoolhouses in the area, today it is filled with all the modern luxuries one would need. Our quaint porch is perfect for bird watching or leaf peeping. The inside includes high ceilings, a bedroom and a cozy loft- both with queen beds. French culture is only a 10 min drive away; Vermont culture is abound with maple syrup and warm locals.With Jay Peak right up the road, the next best thing to France a few miles further and a beautiful maple lined street right out your door the location of our home can’t be understated. But what we believe sets our home apart from other Airbnb’s in the area is what’s inside. 100-year-old floors, a claw foot tub, an old porcelain farmhouse sink, a swing and concrete counter tops. Our house perfectly blends historical elements with modern luxuries, you may come for the great outdoors but never leave our cozy home. Our cabin is set in the heart of Northeast Kingdom farm country and only minutes from Jay Peak. A perfect location to unwind, reconnect with nature and enjoy amazing access to fresh local organic food oh and ski of course! Our property is 5 acres of hemlock groves, creeks, ponds and Prairies with hiking trails throughout. You can enjoy this beautiful habitat right in your backyard and then walk 5 minutes down the road to berry creek farm and grab some fresh blueberries!When you enter our farmhouse, you'll be greeted by a large open concept space with 20-foot ceilings, lots of natural light and a classic Vermont aesthetic with antiques and farmhouse Knickknacks. A big kitchen with plenty of room for cooking, a restful space to relax and watch tv and a workspace with a cozy little reading nook up in the loft are the highlights of our home. Outside you can enjoy the sunrise over the mountains from our covered porch or watch the birds and bees in the native wildflower prairie that makes up most of our front property.
