Charge for the room was £92, and decided that it was OK as we would get breakfast. How wrong we were. The hotel has been taken over since we last went. A paper bag with make ur own porridge, a plastic chocolate pastry and a Happy Shopper Apple juice! Was breakfast supplied. We found an empty vodka bottle and bottle of used Pepsi in one of the side drawers. There was a towel rolled over the gap in the sash window to stop the cold. Husband tried to use shower, the water was either too hot or too cold. Also cracked shower tray. Al the electric boxes were left opened throughout the hotel. Outside door was locked at 9.30pm.

It was comfortable and clean. No frills but good value for money. The parking was perfect. I would go again. The location is central Ipswich, close to shops. That's about all I have to say but TA won't let me post until I have said more?????????

Stayed here for one night for the historical Maidstone United win at Ipswich. For the price we paid it can’t be faulted. Friendly welcome and close to town/stadium. Comfy bed and was given a breakfast bag each too which was a nice touch. I’d recommend.

Lovely little hotel situated near town, clean and tidy, all the amenities you need, kettle, microwave and a very charming host Imran, was given a breakfast bag as they don’t have a kitchen. Free parking too. The beds were a bit lumpy, you can hear people walking around in other rooms and you have cars racing up and down outside, it’s supposed to be 20mph limit but I didn’t see anyone in two days going that slow, not the hotels fault but it can make a lot of noise and is dangerous if you need to cross the road. Apart from that we had an excellent stay and will be back if we are in the area.

Excellent service and get what you pay for. As the owner told me, you have to tell him if there's something you're not happy with and it'll be swiftly rectified as I found. For business trips or even short stays there's excellent value for money to be had here!

This was an ideal hotel for me to stay in whilst I was at the university for 2 days. Very central location and was able to park my car at the hotel. The room was small but had all I needed for my stay. It was clean, had an en-suite, tv, microwave and coffee and tea making facilities, I was even provided with a complimentary breakfast bag for both mornings which set me up for the day! A very helpful and welcoming hotel owner who even went above and beyond to drive me to the university on one of the mornings when my taxi did not turn up! Would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to have a quick stay for a business trip as was very good value for money.

So many positive things to say about this hotel: Great location, with only a few minutes' walk to Ipswich centre, and yet situated in a quiet street of the town. The room had all the amenities I was looking for, plus it was very clean and tidy. Free wi-fi and reasonably pricing added to an enjoyable stay!
