Property Description
Whether it’s relaxation, a trip to downtown Asheville or Waynesville, fishing, hiking or just a peaceful stay on a beautiful bend of the river that you are looking for then this is the place for your vacation! Please refer to our other cabin listing Paradise at the Rivers Edge! to see our reviews. This cabin just like our Paradise Cabin, is unlike any cabin you will see anywhere. This perfect getaway sits on a 65 acre private estate located in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains. The setting makes you feel like you are in the backcountry or out west yet you are just minutes away from downtown Asheville or Waynesville and everything this area has to offer. We are only 1 mile from I-40 Exit 24 and 25 miles to downtown Asheville and The Biltmore Estate. You only need to make a mere 10 minute drive to enjoy all that Downtown Waynesville has to offer from fine dining to some of the areas best local breweries. The Blue Ridge Parkway cuts right through this area and you are just minutes away from several of its entrances. After more than 20 years of dismantling old barns and log cabins and hoarding away the kinds of things you can’t just run out to the local building supply and buy, this unique property started to take shape. From the hand hewn solid oak log walls to the tobacco stick handrails this is a one of a kind getaway. All the woodwork and trim in the cabin is reclaimed from barns that were built 100 plus years ago by the owners great grandfather and has been transformed into what you will see in this truly unique property! All the flooring is salvaged from blizzard grade locust trees from the surrounding high mountains and made into a beautiful plank floor. Whether you want to bring the family or have just a private romantic getaway for your honeymoon/anniversary, this is a cabin unlike any other you will find. Fishing this area is a big attraction so bring your fishing poles and get lost in the beauty of the western North Carolina mountains. Walk out the front door and down to the river and be fishing within minutes of your arrival. The cabin offers a master suite with a handcrafted locust king size bed with pillow top mattress on the main level with a private bathroom and large tile shower. The upstairs bedroom has a queen size bed with pillow top mattress and it’s own bathroom. The loft area is well equipped with a full size sofa pullout sleeper overlooking the living area. There is also a queen size sleeper sofa in the living area. The kitchen has most everything for your cooking needs.. The living area is equipped with a large flat screen television and a fireplace/entertainment center. Both bedrooms also have flat screen as well. The cabin has Direct Now internet television as well as WiFi. With one bedroom and bathroom upstairs and one bedroom and bathroom downstairs it is a perfect spot for two couples to have plenty of privacy. Open up the huge glass doors and let the lullaby of the river coming around the bend echo through the cabin. Don’t forget the front porch where you will want to spend most of your time taking in the view and listening to the soothing sounds of nature. Watch closely for the huge cranes, hawks, geese, ducks and bald eagles that patrol the river. With the cabin being on the rivers edge you will most likely see some type of wildlife during your stay, there are coyotes, turkeys, deer, bear, squirrels, etc. Don’t be surprised to wake up to the cattle walking by just outside in the morning. With the long range Mountain View driveway leading to the cabin and the waterfront location this is a truly one of a kind property. This cabin is home to more than fifty head of cattle so pets are not allowed at any time during your stay here. Also smoking is not allowed in the house but the porch and outside areas are allowed. Please discard cigarettes responsibly as there are dry leaves in heavily wooded areas surrounding the cabin. With four unique private log cabins available now....Riverbend Cabin (listing number 7843149), Paradise Cabin (listing number 1148597), Cedar Cliff Cabin (listing number 2232038) and Castaway Cabin (listing number 3156188) please don’t hesitate to message us regarding multiple cabin rentals for your family getaway. In town for a golf event I was in town for a large golf event with friends that we do every year at this time. My wife daughter and I stayed here. Could not have asked for anything better. We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin is directly in front of the river and access is easy. Everything about the place is top notch. Hopefully it will be available when we return next year.

Riverbed Cabin This cabin exceeded our expectations and is even better than the pictures! Beautifully located right on the river with waterfalls in view. We honestly could have stayed the whole time on the front porch just relaxing and listening to the flowing river. Not only is it beautifully located but it is also immaculate and has everything you could possibly need and more. The owners, Jack and Christy, built this cabin along with the others with absolutely exceptional craftsmanship. The reclaimed wood throughout the cabin is just stunning! It's very obvious they take great pride in the care and maintenance of their properties. We had the pleasure of meeting Jack and Christy, and they couldn't have been more accommodating . We look forward to returning again soon!

Short but sweet We booked this cabin last minute for a quick getaway and it was amazing. The cabin itself is so beautiful and exactly what I was looking for. Super relaxing on the river! We have 2 teenage boys that love to fish so they spent a lot of time down by the water while my husband, daughter and I hung on the porch or by the fire. Jack and Christy were wonderful hosts. Cabin was super clean and has EVERYTHING you can possibly need in the kitchen. I was super impressed! We will def be back!!

Wonderful Place to Stay! The cabin was absolutely beautiful, especially all of the decorations for autumn. One of our favorite things was sitting on the front porch, enjoying the river and the gorgeous fall leaves. The hosts were so kind and we were thrilled to be able to stay there so soon after Hurricane Helene. We hope to return again soon! I’m

Second Trip to Riverbend Cabin This was our second trip to the Riverbend Cabin and this time we brought our daughters. They had a great time in the river and we did a lot of exploring in nearby towns. The cabin and property is beautiful. The owners are amazing and are very easy to communicate with. We had a wonderful trip and will be back to visit again!
