Ishigaki guesthouse OHANA - Hostel

Shingoooo~ I miss you already!!! You were so thoughtful of everyone staying at your place, remembering the activities we had planned for that day, cooking food for us, surprising us with little fireworks. It was a memorable stay!! Keep it up, next time I’ll visit you again!!

This is a great little hostel. Very clean with well equipped kitchen and great showers. Location is perfect, close to ferry port and bus terminal as well as walking distance to a great range of small, local eateries.

The owner of Ohana guesthouse is amazing! The kindest and most hospitable man i have met. Even though his english is not all that good he really listens with interest and tries to connect. He cooks every night and you're invited to join for a very low price. When we ate together (Hotpot) and everyone was speaking japanese he kept trying to include me in the conversation. When i left after two days he even waved goodbye from the stairs till i turned the corner. The cabins were spacious and had a little fan and a mirror with a ledge inside, which is super nice! The toilets and showers were clean and nice and the little wash area was super cute and had everything you could want. the kitchen has everything you need to cook for yourself but for 200/400/800¥ you can join dinner so i didnt cook. Hands down the coziest guesthouse i have been, massive reccomendations!

The owner is very nice and good person, he must be the reason that will be back to this hostel. The location is wonderful just inside the town area, you can have a drink or a tasty food ut walk a second and the ferry pier just nearby. The room is clean and tidy.
