Our fourth time visiting this hotel with my wife and daughters who are now 20 and 17 years old. We have never been disappointed. Once again all the staff were very friendly and made sure our stay was exceptional. The food was as good as ever and one of the main reasons we love this hotel. We had the buffet breakfast and buffet evening meal each day (photos of my last day's dinner attached). Each evening started on the reception terrace with cocktails overlooking the sunset and sea served by the wonderful waitress and waiter. The cocktails come with delicious small snacks (photo attached). We stayed in a senior suite which was a suite (360) (bedroom and lounge) with linking twin room (361) for my grown up children. The rooms were very large with each having a patio and table and chairs where we had lunch (baguette, cheese and ham bought from the supermarket just down the road as we didn't need the large portioned hotel lunches). My only slight criticism is it wasn't clear (to me) from the website that the bedroom and lounge of the suite are open plan. So the lounge cannot be used separately if whoever has the suite wants to go to bed or get changed etc. We had a strict "don't come in before knocking" policy !!. That aside this didn't distract from our enjoyment. So once again we have had an amazing time at this hotel and thank you to everybody who works there. Back in England, its monday and raining and I know where Id rather be.

Second visit in 3 years with two children aged 9 and 6. Food is outstanding as always and options have expanded. We choose to dine in the outdoor buffet which consistently some of the best Italian food we’ve eaten. There’s fresh pasta stations, two catch of the days, and typically a meat grill in addition to an array of starters and appetisers. There are children options in a “kids corner”. Other restaurants for dinner include an a la carte (included in half board), a finer dining restaurant (30% discount if half board), and a pizzeria (included in half board). Pool, beach spectacular as always. Beach is very busy in August even with the pay-for-bed scheme which operates across the vast majority of the hotel’s private beach (with public beaches either side), but is not so busy if spoils the atmosphere. The pool areas are not busy at all, and are great.

One week at La Marinedda was a truly heavenly experience. Not only is the hotel clean, spacious and comfortable, with a great spa and private beach. Its major selling point, in my opinion, is its staff - everyone, from reception to wait staff, from managers to drivers, works towards a common goal of looking after guests and treating them with kind loving care. A lovely experience that I would gladly repeat!

Poor hotel is so old it’s like 50 years old , false advertisement, do not book this hotel , rooms are so old and rubbish and we found broken glass in our baby cot when we got it ready for sleep, staff cannot speak English , reception are so rude , pictures are from 59 years ago

We had a fantastic holiday. The hotel and facilities were great. The staff all very attentive and friendly. The food in the evening was amazing variety every night and beautifully presented. We could not fault anything or anyone. We will be returning next year as this vacation topped anywhere we have stayed elsewhere in Europe.

I stayed at Marinedda Thalasso & Spa with my wife for three nights, and here is a summary of my review: Pros⬆️: 1. Very Large Resort: The property is huge, with many facilities including tennis and padel courts, big parking space, golf carts moving around the resort, spacious rooms, and a very wide beach. It gives a feeling of openness and plenty of space. 2. Excellent Pizzeria: The restaurant, especially the pizzeria, was excellent. We had dinner there and the food was perfect, both in taste and quality. The staff at the pizzeria were also very friendly and welcoming, which made the dining experience even better. 3. Friendly Staff Everywhere: The staff were always smiling, welcoming, and helpful, which made the stay more enjoyable and relaxing. Cons⬇️: 1. Beach Beds Policy: About 80% of the beach beds are reservable and require an extra charge, while only 20% are free for hotel guests. Since the free ones are quickly taken, it often feels like you are forced to pay extra to enjoy the beach. Given the high room rates, this policy was very disappointing. 2. Reservation System for Restaurants: Almost everything required a reservation. Without one, your only options were to eat outside the property or order room service. For such a large resort with so many tables, it was unusual and inconvenient to have to plan meals two or three days in advance. This took away from the feeling of relaxation, as it felt like scheduling every step instead of enjoying the holiday freely. 3. Sea View was not as Expected: I had a sea view suite, but what I got was only a partial sea view. Although the view was nice, it did not overlook the full sea or beach area as expected. Recommendation: If you stay here, I recommend taking a walk outside the resort to Isola Rossa, where you’ll find beautiful restaurants with lots of variety and much more affordable prices.

I absolutely do not recommend this hotel. The location is terrible — if you don’t want to eat in the hotel’s restaurant every day, you have to walk to the nearby town, because it only takes 5mins by shuttle bus, so the taxi doesn’t want to do the job, the hotel only provide a few shuttle bus( latest one in the afternoon is 3:30pm then it is the night after 8pm, very wired and unconvinced at all). Also the hotel restaurant is often fully booked anyway, with very few options available. It’s also very far from the airport — the car ride from the airport was so long I felt strong car sick, because of the road. There is no airport shuttle service, so you can only book a taxi, very expensive. In short, it’s extremely inconvenient and nothing like a five-star hotel! Terrible!

We had a horrible experience. They didn't even try to fix it, they just said sorry and moved on. Dismissive. Bad English. Inattentive. Superficial. After staying in there last week, I am appalled by the reviews here. People must not have been to any other 5 star hotel in their entire life to think the quality of the service there meets the 5-star standards. We checked in and got into our room, the walls had shoeprints of people who tried to kill the flies. It didn't take long for us to notice that it is because there is no flyscreen in the bathroom window or the room. The room was standard, nothing extraordinary. We then were told we need to PAY to use the umbrellas and the sunbeds on the beach. €550 a night, but then pay €38 every day for the sunbeds? Who thought it would satisfy the customers? The beach is not private either, while you are laying down on your €38 sun bed, you are next to the public. There are sellers on the beach walking between the sunbeds as well. And some can be pushy enough that you have to tell them no a few times for them to move on. Oh, lunch is not included in their price either, and is around €50 each. It is incredibly expensive for what they offer. They advertise the hotel as "great for couples" but there is not even a kids pool for the kids to hang out, so all you hear while laying down next to the pool is kids screaming and crying. So relaxing! You have to book a table for the restaurant as well a day before, otherwise it clearly books up real quick. Apart from the kids crying, it is a quiet hotel. There is a short live music in the evening, but thats all. No background music during the day or anything. For two nights in a row (We stayed for three nights), there was a repetitive beep noise kept us awake. Assuming the reception in a 5-star hotel is open 24/7, we called them multiple times to ask if it could be resolved so that we can sleep, nobody responded. I had to comment on their social media post for them to come and talk to us about it. It was a basic "sorry" we received when they got in touch with us. No attempt on trying to understand what the noise is. We had many more issues that I cannot fit in here, about which they are in touch with my partner privately. Whoever says they had amazing time must have got lucky with nothing going wrong in their stay, but a good quality hotel shows their standards when issues arise, and from the way they approach those issues. They were very dismissive apart from saying a simple sorry, which does not really help when it does not solve the problems. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was because it was advertised for catering for gluten free and lactose free. They do, but the options are limited. So nothing extraordinary there either, just standard gluten free and lactose free approach in any reasonable restaurant. To me, it is the bare minimum because they are the ones advertising as gluten free, so they did not have to go out of their way to cater for us out of nowhere

Great hotel and facilities close to a lovely beach which although busy had plenty of space. Some reviews commented on the walk from the hotel to the beach but it is really easy and quick on paved paths and no trouble but there was a shuttle service which I guess would help for those with small children or mobility issues. Staff were all really friendly and helpful and half board was actually pretty good value in the end for a relatively short stay.
