When I arrived there, they said my booking is not confirmed and our hotel is offline now. I waited for more 1 hour but still not confirmed. So I decided to pick other hotel

We booked this hotel through an agency after seeing that it had an excellent location. We are a couple celebrating our 3-year anniversary, and it was supposed to be a romantic trip, but we were extremely disappointed with the hotel. Due to a flight delay, we arrived at the hotel around 2 am, and a positive aspect was the 24-hour reception. However, they assigned us a room in the basement with no windows, close to the bathrooms and the hotel's storage room. The TV didn't work, and there were two separate beds. Additionally, the shower had no door! In the morning, we requested a room change, and they moved us to a room across the hall, which was exactly the same, except that the shower had a door, and the TV worked. The excuse for placing us in such a poor room was that the agency had booked a "promotional" room. I don't understand how a 4-star hotel has this type of room. The hotel's advantage is its proximity to all points of interest in Istanbul and the breakfast, where everyone was friendly, and the food was plentiful.

Our agent recommended this hotel, we checked its website and it looked fine. However we found the hotel absolutely unacceptable. Shabby, dirty, room not as depicted on website, ripped filthy curtains. Breakfast we had booked we were told we would have to walk to their other hotel. Just a dump. We left after looking at the room and stayed elsewhere.
