Meroddi La Porta Hotel

Staying at this hotel was utterly horrible. The room was tiny, with noticeably warped floorboards, and to make things worse, it was right next to several large trash bins, giving off a bad smell. The soundproofing was almost nonexistent—I could clearly hear the "beep" of keycards from nearby doors, and every time someone closed a door, the walls would shake, even vibrating the bed, making sleep impossible. What made me most uncomfortable, though, was the hygiene problem. After lying down, I felt itchy all over, which made me seriously doubt the cleanliness of the bedding. If I had to pick one good thing, the view from the rooftop was about the only tolerable part. As for sleeping? Forget it! Sleeping in this room became the ultimate luxury. It felt like I paid for a "rooftop access pass," along with the "complete experience" of a sleepless night. At 5:00 in the morning, I could go upstairs and watch the dawn over Istanbul.

One of the receptionests was very rude. I raised it to guest relation manager but she was the same story. I dont suggest this place to anyone. The hotel is at narrow and dirty street. Around it were small businesses. Expect no sleep at all.

Good location, close to Galata Tower, Subway; many restaurants and coffee places. The room was neat and clean also breakfast was very good with a great view.
