The staff were very polite, however I wouldn't recommend staying there. Firstly, the room I paid for was supposed to be 18 square meters, but definitely wasn't: I'd guess closer to 12 or 13. Secondly, I had some washing done and the staff told me I could pay per kilo rather than per item. Mine was just 1.75 kilos but they charged me $30 for this. That would be on the pricey side at a 5 star hotel in London, but for a 2 or 3 star hotel in Turkey it's essebtially a scam. I'd estimate it costs 100 to 150 Turkish Lira per kilo, and so with a hotel commision of say 100 Lira you'd still expect the price to be about half that amount or less. You could argue that this is my fault for not checking the price first, but it is still unreasonable and I wouldn't go back and stay there. I'd suggest not staying in the Sultanahmet area at all. It's convenient to a lot of tourist places, but there are nicer parts of Istanbul you can stay in where you don't find so many people who are scamming tourists. The breakfast was perhaps the one positive thing I can say about this place.

The hotel is very centrally located, steps away from the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, and the rest of the Sultanahmet/Fatih area, which makes it convenient for walking around. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was nice! My real complaint was with the cleanliness of the room. When we arrived, our room was visibly dirty--the bathroom trash was full, there were hairs all over the floor, there was no soap, etc. I asked if they could at least take out the trash and the employee said something about the cleaning people only coming every five days or so?? Sure enough, our room was never visited by housekeeping for our entire three night/four day stay, which got a little gross. However, the bed was comfortable, despite the small size of the room. Overall, a decent choice for a budget stay in a convenient area.

I booked this hotel depending on rating, description of room, pictures and reviews. Unfortunately, I discovered that they were all fake. The hotel is very small as you can see from the pictures of the reception and stairs I added. In terms of safety, nobody was at the reception at the day time and at night they close the hotel door which is unsafe as there is no other emergency exit, and in the morning (at 7am) I had to look for the man (who was sleeping at the hotels bar) who can open the door. The room are very small, dirty, smelly. The bathroom is absolutely disgusting. The small fridge does not work. The bed is broken and the mattress was unstable and moving. The window was very close to the building nearby. When I asked for bigger room they asked for extra money to upgrade for a room with balcony that was smaller than a foot step and very dirty. I told myself ok it is just for sleeping so when I returned to sleep, my first night in this hotel the AC was not working and started dripping water. I called the receptionist and their solution to this was to put some cloth on the floor and told me close the AC and that it will not be repaired until Monday ( it was Saturday) I did not sleep all the night and left the hotel in the morning and lost my money. I felt disgusted just staying that one night.

Rooms are absolutely disgusting and look completely different from the photos. Rooms are MUCH smaller in person and are extremely unsanitary. The bathroom smells strongly of sewage and is also not clean AT ALL. There were dead flies stuck to the wall in the shower and the tap on the sink was moldy and would shake out of place when turned on. The closet also hits you with a strong nasty smell as soon as you open its doors. My room had a double bed and a single and both beds were broken; the double bed frame was broken and the single’s mattress was tilted to the right resulting in extremely uncomfortable sleep (or lack there of). Even walking in the room with the little space provided would get your feet dirty. The AC also constantly drips water when turned on. The rooms do not get cleaned everyday like other hotels. They are “cleaned” upon request where the staff will come into your room and only pretend to clean as the room will be the exact same level of filth as before. When I discussed my displeasure with the managers they refused to give me a refund and basically said it was our fault because we “booked this room”. The delusional managers tried to convince me that the room photos are perfectly accurate. This was until I asked one of them if he would be happy with the room I received in which his face changed and he instantly stopped talking and couldn’t respond to my question. I ended up booking another hotel as I could not stay in this filth any longer. As my family and I were carrying out our bags the scamming manager asked me for the key to my room THAT I WAS NOT REFUNDED FOR. I told her she’ll get the key when i check out as I have booked this room. She was persistent as she wanted to sell the room to another unfortunate customer in which I declined because I don’t want anyone else to go through this filthy disgusting hotel. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS, THIS HOTEL IS A BIOLOGICAL HAZARD.

For anyone who’s considering this hotel for the rating or reviews, i will be honest with you RUN, pick something else; dont do this to yourself, you deserve better. Imagine walking into the bathroom of your room and finding urine on toilet seat!!! JUST IMAGINE THAT! Yup so that happened to me at this hotel. I later went to speak to the manager and she mentioned that it was cleaned before we came and that didn’t exist before. After argument back and forth, she yells at me infront of my kids: “okay finee we will clean it, what do you want”. This explains how disgusting and unhygienic this place is. How hard is it to clean a room? Its already a very very small hotel (i wouldnt even call that a hotel). Very very rude manager. Also the pictures are basically a lie and doesn’t tell everything at all. The room and stairway had disgusting odour. I was able to stay for just 1 night and i packed my bag and looked for another place. This was by far the worst experience at a hotel in my entire life; it actually ruined my first day in istanbul for my family and I. Oh one more thing, breakfast is not at the terrance as pictures show its in the bar downstairs. Thats why dont believe the pictures you see

The most disgusting hotel i have ever been to in my life. I have no idea how it has this high rating. All the ratings seem to be LIES and fake comments! First of all if you think the breakfast is in the terrance you are wrong, its downstairs at the bar. Second, the washroom was very dirty; not clean at all. The faucet was literally falling apart and had mold. The bath had dead flies. This is not a hotel, this is even worse than a hostel. The lobby and stairs smelled disgusting. I booked the hotel for 8 days and I literally stayed for only 1 day and left, i lost my money on this disgusting place but it was better than loosing my sanity and hygiene.

Staff was very helpful especially Saad. The hotel manager is a lovely gentlemen, very respectful and helpful. The property is a small boutique hotel, excellent location but double room was small and could barely move around in it. Would recommend the Deluxe rooms. Excellent view of the Blue Mosque on the terrace. Overall, a good stay.
