Divan Istanbul

The room AC was not cooling at all. I reported the issue to the hotel multiple times and no action was taken during my stay. I literally had to open the windows just to get some air into the room. My room on Floor 2 was also directly facing the street, so the noise was very bad. The hotel is clean, but the poor maintenance and lack of response from the staff made the stay frustrating and uncomfortable.

Absolutely loved our stay. The hotel was in a perfect location. Close enough to taksim but with enough distance. The metro was close by. And loads of good restaurants in taksim. Would definitely recommend and return if u revisit Istanbul again.

Good location,comfortabel beds,friendly staff & execlent breakfast

I had a very pleasant stay at Divan Istanbul. Although some of the facilities felt a little old, everything was very clean and well maintained. The breakfast was excellent, with a wonderful variety of cheeses, yogurt, jams, and delicious bread. I also loved seeing the cat on the terrace — it made the mornings even more charming. What impressed me most was the service. Every staff member I met was extremely polite, kind, and professional. In particular, the gentleman who was often at the entrance was wonderful. He always made me feel welcome and safe, and his warm hospitality left a very good impression on me. The only small point was that my room faced the afternoon sun, so it became a little warm at times, but it was not uncomfortable. Overall, I am very glad I stayed at Divan Istanbul. It is certainly in a higher price range, but for me, the quality of the service, breakfast, cleanliness, and overall comfort made it absolutely worth it. I would happily return.

Good hotel, but the room we stayed in had some issues - one of the showers had mould like stains and wasn’t coming out properly the water. Also one of the nights the ceiling panel near the door came down and almost hit my head could have been killed. Nothing done about it by the hotel. The snacks in the room / room service had extortionate pricing. The cafe the staff weren’t that bothered to help when trying to order. When going for swimming the pool temperature and the actual temperature was different and colder. Good notes - great location, most staff are very helpful and friendly. Traffic time can be difficult at times to get back. I don’t think I’d come back to this hotel.
