Marukyu Ryokan

The room is large and spacious, and it is close to Shuzenji Temple. I booked this place after reading the reviews. To be honest, I am quite disappointed. I can only blame myself for not doing enough research. Especially the dinner dishes, what a pity!

The semi-open-air bath was large enough for two people and a child, and the washing space was wide and easy to use. Both the bedroom and the Japanese-style room were spacious and comfortable. Private rooms are available for dinner and breakfast, and each dish is wonderfully prepared. The proprietress and the head chef also came to say hello, and I was impressed by the hospitality. The head chef brought a log of shiitake mushrooms and grilled the shiitake mushrooms in butter. The young women who took care of me were very kind and made me feel very comfortable.
