Oni No Sumika

We booked an independent villa, which was a very typical Japanese-style house. It had a living room and two bedrooms, plus an additional living room upstairs. The bathroom was excellent, with both indoor and outdoor hot spring baths. The small garden was beautiful and very tranquil. It's also very close to Shuzenji Temple, and the surrounding scenery is lovely.

The hotel was very clean, and the soup was served in each suite; there was no soup available outside. Perhaps because it was the off-season, there was no breakfast or dinner, which was very inconvenient. The Chinese-speaking staff at the front desk were very helpful.

The hotel is fantastic! Every room type is different, each room is like a mini-villa with a private hot spring ♨️, I loved it! I chose the 140-square-meter, two-story room. The front desk service was excellent; they helped with my luggage and escorted me to my room. The next day, when I checked out, they immediately came to help my luggage when they saw my driver come to my room to help me (I heard this from the driver later). The hotel garden view is particularly beautiful. The only downside was that I decided to come to Izu and booked the hotel at the last minute, so I couldn't book the hotel's food (you have to book three days in advance). I highly recommend this hotel!

Avoid this hotel. The room was infested with bugs; I even found a rove beetle on the tatami mats. The bedroom, in a fairly large space, had air conditioning; the other rooms didn't. In this weather, I was sweating even after showering, and even using the bathroom was sweating. The worst part was the receptionist at this hotel. She walked ahead to show us to our room. I was carrying two large suitcases with my child (the floor was paved with cobblestones, so I couldn't drag them, I had to carry them), which was incredibly strenuous. She looked back and not only didn't offer to help, she didn't even offer a polite "Can I help you?"
