The Leela Palace Jaipur

It was a pleasant short stay. The staff is fantastic and facilities are luxurious. The food could be improved. Otherwise, great!

We absolutely loved our stay at Leela Palace Jaipur! The staff are so amazing. The grounds and mountains right next door are pretty and it's just a first-rate place to stay for sure! Beautiful place! Great quality of everything and great standards for Westerners. The other '5 star' hotels we stayed in in Jaipur weren't up to Western standards of 5 star in hygiene and other little things but the Leela Palace certainly is, and I'd rate it even more than a typical 5 star hotel in the Western world. This is more of a palace retreat, also, not just a hotel. We have excellent memories there and I'm still wearing my Leela slippers at home in Australia now hehe, because it reminds me of the beautiful time I had there and the beautiful staff who made things more than excellent for us and really made our stay amazing. Definitely recommend. I do have a tip - go in a 'Grand Villa'. The Palace suite (what it says I stayed in), is gorgeous but the villas are even better and not that much difference in price. We stayed 2 nights at Leela Palace Jaipur and experienced both room types. The photos online on the Leela website are accurate.  We ate at the buffet restaurant, Sukh Mahal. It was nice. The food was hygienic, fancy, and we didn't get sick at all (we did at another 5 star hotel).  It's a fair drive from the city of Jaipur, but I think you'll find that you actually love that. jaipur city area is so hectic and loud with horns and just a bit unpleasant to be in, if you're in culture shock. The Leela Palace is further out and is such a nice break from Jaipur city area. It's perfectly away in the mountain areas. The air is fresher and it's pretty with the mountains. I totally recommend. I also recommend taking the hotel's car, as they actually have seatbelts in all seats and air con and just fancy. We took an Uber to the Leela Palace and that was a huge mistake. Pay the extra for the hotel car! Most of the cars we were in in Jaipur had no seatbelt in the back middle seat, and two other cars didn't have seatbelts in the back at all. Just trust us. Just make sure they take you to the right airport. The driver was great but dropped us off at domestic terminal, which is 3km or so from the international one, and you have to take an Uber to get from each, so please make sure they understand which one (I thought it would be one airport).

Overall, we had a good experience, but it could have been better. VIP benefits: We didn't receive a room upgrade, despite ******* showing availability on the same day. Room service: There is significant room for improvement, as service was slow. We ordered dinner for our baby, which arrived 1 to 1.5 hours late. Similarly, we requested a baby cot 2 to 3 times, and it arrived after the baby had already fallen asleep. Kids room: This area also needs an upgrade. The current kids room is more suited for older children or adults, featuring a table tennis table, foosball table, and PlayStation. For toddlers, it only offers a ball pit and some blocks. Adding a trampoline or slides would enhance the space. F&B: Sukh Mahal offers a great variety of cuisines throughout the day. However, for breakfast, they could provide more Asian and Mediterranean options, comparable to other properties of similar stature. We visited Mohan Mahal for dinner, which is stunning and a must-see for anyone visiting Jaipur. The entire venue is made of glass and illuminated by candles, creating a mesmerising atmosphere.

Beyond 5-Star Luxury – The Leela Palace Jaipur Our four-night stay at The Leela Palace Jaipur was pure perfection. From the warm welcome with refreshing raw mango juice to the immaculate Palace Rooms refreshed twice daily, every detail impressed. Janvi (personal assistant) was helpful at times especially when my Mom was by herself in the hotel. Rajendra (housekeeping), and Sheeshram (manager) went above and beyond. Dining at Sukh Mahal was unforgettable — an incredible breakfast spread, delicious lunches and dinners, and outstanding service from Rohit and Parvesh. Special thanks to sous-chef Kushboo, who surprised me with a live jalebi station after I casually mentioned wanting to try Rajasthani jalebi — truly above and beyond! The hotel grounds are breathtaking, perfect for relaxing all day. Mid-July heat brought mosquitos, so we enjoyed outdoor visits in mornings and evenings. Only downsides: overpriced taxi rates and generic sightseeing plans from Concierge. One of the best luxury stays I’ve ever had — truly beyond 5-star.
