Cinnamon Hotel

I will start by saying that the restaurant staff and housekeeping staff were absolutely lovely at this hotel. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and us to feel welcome. Especially Juvy & Roger! The hotel itself has a few issues, the photos advertised online do not reflect the property at all. They is no sea view from the pool, the only sun beds available are down by the beach where you get hassled by ‘Beach Boys’, no idea why the hotel wouldn’t have loungers by the pool instead. The hotel suffered from several power outages and lots water at times. Meaning no flushable toilets or showers. No communication from the hotel about this. The restraint served nice food but it really is overpriced for what it is. You’re also expected to bring cash to the hotel to pay your tourist tax, we were not aware of this and have been able to pay on card for other hotels in Zanzibar so the manager left us no choice but to pay for a tuktuk to drive us to town to get cash out. Unfortunately we seemed to be the other tourists staying that weren’t friends with the managers. The other guests were lovely, but it felt very uncomfortable during meal times when everyone else were eating together, smoking around the whole hotel and taking the cushions from the beds onto the sun loungers. We felt like we were interrupting their friends holiday. There are other beautiful hotels on the same beach for similar prices. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, not a nice vibe.

Great place and location. Extremely friendly helpful staff and superb food. Breakfast so good. Big thx to Mimay and Roger. Travelled extensively worldwide and Zanzibar is high on our list. 3 day Stonetown is enough then a week in Nungwi then 8 days Jambianu(Cinninmon). Reading the report of lost ring absolutely no way would it go missing. Why bring such items….?? Insurance! Will return

Spending few days in one of the front rooms was the best decision. It was clean, nicely arranged and decorated but what impressed the most was the ocean view. I spent hours watching the waves, water changing from celadon to turquoise colour, observed gigantic tidal moves - simply breathtaking. I had been in many places but I don't remember any hotel being that close to water. It was basically built on the beach. Highly recommended!

Amazing hotel. Myself and my boyfriend has a lovely 7 days at this hotel. The rooms were fantastic with a view of the ocean out the door. What more could you ask for. Staff and restaurant food were both very nice. Would definitely recommend to stay here as our trip was very successful.

We have just finished my stay at this hotel. Absolutely amazing experience genuinely nothing more we could ask for. Great staff , lovely breakfast , very nice rooms , swimming pool , clear blue ocean and AC in room which was very helpful on warm nights and day. Out trip lasted 12 days and the hotel staff helped us organise trips for the full day such as a safari which made life a lot easier. Lastly fresh fruits from the bar is a MUST try. 5 minute wait and you receive a full plate of fruit that you have never tasted. Overall very happy with out stay and would recommend. The local town was very nice but don’t be shocked with location. This is what Zanzibar is all about.

Great hotel‼️ My favourite part was the swimming pool which had a view of the clear blue ocean. The staff was very friendly and helped with everything. The restaurant had lots of opinions to eat. Lastly it is located only 6 km from Paje which is a small town in Jambiani. Overall a great experience and highly recommend 😊
